Subject: >>TIP recruiting coaches

there are 2 ways to recruit a coach:

1)
>Go to the Training page.
>use the Coach recruitment to select the skills for your coach.
>Set the skill you wish to train in as high as possible, set the other skills to really low. this will save on wage cost.
>randomly generate the coach. this can be a big lottery and many teams have blown huge amounts of cash trying to find the perfect coach.

Alternatively
2)
>Enter the Transfers page.
>go to the Trainers transfer page by clicking Trainers in the top right corner of the page.
>Narrow down the search parameters. find a coach with a really high skill in what you are training (unearthly in preferable), and low in other skills so that wages are kept low.
>Bid on the coach in an auction. Take note of the time the bidding ends. Bidding always last 2 days in total.
If you are outbid, unlike with player bids, you have to go back to the transfer page to find your coach again (strangely outbid coaches are not shown in the office).

option two would be preferable and could save a lot of money, if you are looking for a specific type of coach.

When recruiting an assistant or juniour coach. The general appraisal is the key.

Set all skills to the level you want e.g. good to get a good coach.

Further more if you then put the expensive keeper skill as low as possible and compensate by putting up the same amount of levels in the other skills. You should get the same level of coach but wages will be reduced.

Try and get as good a youth coach as you can afford. This will set you up nice for the future. Should produce some nice young players to train or sell.

Prob solid or very good is fine for starters then depending on progress get on up to excellent then outstanding...

those are minimum wage prices, not the recomended... you would be really lucky to end up with a coach at those wage levels

lol so an incredible coach is more expensive than a brillian coach??? look at the wages - think there is a slight typo there.

Do I recall reading something re: a change in the way coaches function, general appraisal or individual skills?

Vague memory.. anyone?
2006-12-14 15:31:12
general appraisal of head coach affects team work which in turn affects tactical positionion which in turn affects global warming.
2006-12-14 15:31:20
a change? erm... not that i can recall...

unless its a change in your own thinking from the wrong approach to the correct 1 :P
2006-12-14 15:31:58
oh yeah, that change :P

Wish trainers you bid on stayed in the list like outbid players, it's a pain searching for them every time.
