Subject: Stadium upgrades.

2005-10-20 16:52:45
I have a question regarding upgrading a section of the stadium to seats.

It's clearly very expensive, but I assume it pays of? Current fan base is 669 and am virtually filling my 6500 stadium.

Due to my interpretation of rules I believe I could expect 9-12k some games, and if I had seats I would be more likely to attract them. Am I right?

I'd also like to put a roof over those seats but I feel thet could perhaps be done on a separate occassion.

Any suggestions, or experience in having done this, that might help?

Cheers...

Hmmmm, I was looking for some arena expansion tips too, any takers?

I guess its best to make sure you time the completion of the work with a home game, and also to do as much work as one can afford due to the fixed costs.....

I only have 550 fans...so shouldn't go much higher than 6k?

What proportion should be seats...terraces etc?

What proportion should be seats...terraces etc?

Ideally, you should maybe be aiming for an all-seater stadium.

and by the way, the revenue for the different types of seating in the rules is wrong!

the old help site used to have the correct price of tickets, but thats missing from the new help site (though i have contacted the maker of the site and he'll add it soon).

i think the main difference was that the seats along the line give you more money than seats behind the goal, or benches anywhere.

Figured there would be a fair number of people upgrading thier stadiums soon, so thought I would bump this up.

Any more advice on stadium inprovements would be welcome.

look at mine :P

na seriously. i'm doing 1 thing right that many of u others aren't.

seats should only be built along the lines. not in the corners or behind the nets, only along the lines.

along the lines, seats bring in more income than benches. but in the other places, they cost more to build and give u just the same money!!! so basically a waste of time nd money (unless u roof it, but thats another issue)

If you look at the stadiums of the top league in Poland, they've all built seats along the sidelines.

And only one of them has any sort of terracing at all.

Seats and Benches are the way forward.

Edit: - In fact, it's not terracing, it's standing space they have, and only in 1 corner.

OMG seats are expensive to upgrade.

I have a question.

Suppose I have 2000 benches in my northern stand.

If I want to upgrade that to 3000 seats, do the benches stay, or do I have to demolish them and then add the seats.

........Not planning on doing that. Will just be building about 3000 seats on my empty southern sideline.......

Just wanted to know how it worked...upgrading existing seating etc....

Anybody?

Yeah ... bulldozers required.

You are basically increasing total capacity by only 1000 - even though you are adding 3000 seats ... a bit of a bugger.

just think of it logically.

if u have terraces (a stand with plain concrete large steps) and upgrade to benches or seats, u just fix the benches/seats to the stand already in place.

if you have benches on the stand and u want to upgrade to seats, you gotta tear away all the benches and chuck them, and fix in the new seats.

I didn't think much logic came into any of these on-line footy management games ;p

Seats behind the goal give a bit more than benches - there was a glitch in translating the zl cost to £ for the english rules I think.

I think sokkerhelp.org gives more accurate numbers.

sorry, but seats behind the goals give nothing extra.

i've been going with the sokker help numbers since i started expanding (and i was the one that got the numbers onto the site in the revamped help site as they were missing).
