When he missed that sitter, and they equalised, I feared the worst............

Memories of your cup match? :)

Actually, the same thing happened to Ben Ferson in the first half, missed a one-on-one then scored the next one. I was getting ready to give Stevierob pelters:)

It was an interesting match to watch, especially as I've only seen my own games beforehand.

Seemed to me to be a real level above anything I've seen on Sokker, and that was with an average squad in many ways. Passing and tactics were great.

Also interesting in terms of positioning, the one winger being utilised a lot and the positioning of the strikers. Food for thought for me.........

PS - Lowson's stats don't show the goal. Will that be later, or is it some sort of bug?

Non plus can watch all the International games so when you have a bit of time you can watch some of the other Scotland games, even the top country's like Poland, Belgium, Italy etc. You'll learn a lot with a keen eye.

Just dont watch Scotland v France from last week, that was a disaster!

My guy really should have learned how to pass but I did say he would kick his granny if needed.

"68 minute.
Crerar approaches the ball. Barker wins the ball from behind. Bagan fouls inside the box. Penalty! Bagan is cautioned. Barker was hurt. He`s crying with pain! "

Worth the yellow card any day.

Funnily enough I made a point of avoiding complex tactics with one winger, or spread-out players as I felt that level of player that I had available to me just wouldn't be able to pull it off.

I mean, there wasn't a single player who I could have felt could have put in a half-decent cross so I figured that it was a waste of time using any wingers. I just hoped that I could force my way through the middle with loads of strikers and a fairly compact midfield and defence.

Your side did have great success with your winger, and passed to him more accurately than I expected (I expected to see loads of passes straight off the pitch as they miss him!), however for all the time and space he had, he didn't cause massive damage with his final ball. It just wasn't very accurate. In the end you got most of your success by balls through the middle that take advantage of our poor defenders, or just by tackling one of the defenders.

...I forgot England missed a penalty!

Maybe it would have been better if I actually knew my strikers stats, I had no idea who had the best striking skill!

Our mids that played today actually had some passing as low as poor, MacDuffie on the wing was our best passing player on the field so i thought i'd try to use him as an option, his final ball wasn't great but he did see a lot of action and held the ball well in possession and ate up some precious seconds on the clock.
Funnily enough, with the players that i had to use i was going to go 3-4-3 aswell, but changed my mind and stuck a striker in midfield instead and prayed that our back 4 would see out the 90 minutes..3 yellows to them too so it was close :)

Well, we actually played 3 Midfielders in defence, but who's counting ;-)

lol go on Ben my son !!!

he didnt actually miss the one-on-one mate , it was yon daftie geller in a helicopter above the pitch , the downward draft from the helicopter caused the ball to bobble hence the misskick from ben

so he says :)
