2009-07-17 01:15:35
well, lets hope not! its nice to have players who will only ever have one club and never leave.
2009-07-17 02:30:10
Inzaghi? Loyal? Loyal my ass.
2009-07-17 08:15:32

ibrahimovic at barca for 40 milions +hleb+eto'o,much no?
2009-07-17 09:48:59
I think it's fair with those prices

hleb = 10 milions (because he didn't played a lot last season and barça bought him for 13M)
eto'o = 25 milions (because he has just one year contract remaining)

Manchester United has bought Mame Biram Diouf from Norwegian Molde. He is a overrated player and doesn't have PL standard. Haha.. I don't know what they are thinking. Are they desperate?

could be like with was the transfer of john obi mikel at chelsea,
2009-07-17 10:48:03
John Obi Mikel was better and he was actually Chelseaplayer before playing in FC Lyn Oslo in Norway. Therefor the mixup and trail when signing also for Man Utd.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer went from Molde to Manchester United and could be compared with todays transfer. But Diouf is not Solskjaer standard either. There are several better players in Norway.

But it is a cheap signing of a young player for Sir Alex, but very risky.

Loyal yes. All the players you mentioned has wages out of this world and therefor they stay loyal. All these players have "flirted" with other clubs but used these flirts to negoiate better contracts. I stand by my point that all players are hookers following the money included Gerrard, Carragher, Lampard, Terry etc.

giggs, scholes, neville have never wanted to leave the club. at no point in their career have they ever said that. they wouldn't leave unless the club didn't need them anymore.

alex ferguson has even said that no clubs would ask about scholes, despite him being one of the best midfielders in his prime, as they all knew that he'd never want to leave.

so yes, there are still players who wear their hearts on their sleeves, and no, they dont have sky high wages, especially compared to ferdinand/rooney/ronaldo etc.

It´s easy to do that in a big club. For me that it isn´t a big merit.
