GK (from about 8-14 years) -> WB (6 months) -> CDM (still am one) has been my footballing path. CDM is pretty oversighted too sadly.

I would have to disagree with you on that to a certain degree. I have always found a) much more benficial than b) certainly upto this age as the boys are not as powerful therefore you have time to position yourself on where to dive/move. Then from this age upwards maybe yes i might start using b) because the shots become more powerful giving you less time to think. I have always found a) more useful though sorry :)

With our areas penalty takers being 6"2 (well that's ours anyway) raging bulls who just punt the ball, if you haven't dived already it's in the net, so I'm all for b :P

If you're a modern wing back then you get a lot of praise, if you're good of course
