Subject: World Cup 2014 Qualifying stage - Europe
not a single won match (qualify round or tournament) against at least average team since few years,
and how many of those games have we played in last couple of years...?
2013: Ukraine [20th in rank] [2x loses, one very close to winning], England [10th in rank] [1x lose, 1x draw], Montenegro [54th in rank] [1 draw, 1 unlucky draw where we deserved a win and were far better on the pitch]
2012: 1:1 vs Greece [15th], 1:1 vs Russia [19th], 0:1 vs Czech Rep [27th]
2011: no official games
We are at level of 25-30 place in the rank and we had tragic coaches. With a proper coach we can easily manage to play as equals and win with Greece, Russia, Czech Rep, Ukraine, Slovenia, Norway, Bosnia, Romania, Denmark, Serbia.
With good coach and normal ranking [meaning no 4th basket for qualifiers] we should always qualify or be close to qualify to EURO/World Cup.

in Europe yes, but worldwide it's beyond top 50

If we're playing like equals with Greece, Russia, Czech Rep, Denmark and Ukraine which are all top 20 + 27 in the rank then we are at level 25-30 place in world, not Europe.
If we're playing like equals with Greece, Russia, Czech Rep, Denmark and Ukraine
If. But are you?
If. But are you?
We've beaten Denmark, we were better against Greece [I still don't understand how we didn't win that game], we were equal with Russia, we were slightly worse against Czech Rep [but in other games before we were equal/worse, one day we can beat them, the other lose against them]. Against Ukraine in last game we were equally good, they just had one lucky situation after stupid mistake of our defender.
I'm not saying we're better than those teams, but not much worse, and most of them are in top 20. So yes, I believe that we're good enough for top 30 :). We're nowhere near Belgium's potential, but still...we have the means to make it in future.
Strikers: Lewandowski [Borussia], Milik [Bayern Lev., he can be as good as Lewy], Stepinski [18yo, Nurnberg], Sobiech [Hannover]
Wingers: Blaszczykowski [Borussia], Pawłowski [20yo, Malaga] Sobota [Brugge], Peszko [Parma], Wszolek [Sampdoria], Kosecki [Legia, linked with Atletico], Rybus [Terek Grozny]
Offensive midfielders: Zielinski [19yo prodigy from Udinese], Mierzejewski [Trabzonspor], Klich [Zwolle], Wolski [20yo, Fiorentina], Obraniak [Bordeaux], Linetty [Lech]
Central midfielders: Krychowiak [Reims], Borysiuk [Kaiserslautern], Furman and Łukasik [Legia], Polanski [Hoffenheim], Wilk [Deportivo]
Side defenders: Boenisch [Bayern Lev.], Piszczek [Borussia], Bereszynski [Legia, linked with Benfica], Rzezniczak and Wawrzyniak [Legia]
Central defenders: Glik [Torino], Celeban [Vaslui], Salamon [Sampdoria/Milan], Jodłowie [Legia], Kamiński [Lech]
Goalkeepers: Szczęsny [Arsenal], Fabiański [Arsenal], Boruc [Southampton], Tytoń [PSV], Skorupski [Roma]
Some of them are obviosly very young and still have to prove themselves, but they show great potential, especially Zielinski and Pawlowski. This is not a team that can win any big trophy obviously, but it definitely has the potential to be among top 25/30 in the world, I have no doubt about it.

Greece had penalty, they could have won 2:1, be thankful for a draw, that was probably worst Euro group in football history and yet Poland couldn't win a single game (at home!), Denmark lost to Armenia, losing 4 goals at home, so no... beating Denmark doesn't mean anything, to be 20-30 you need to keep winning, Poland can't do that in important games even against teams like Moldova, so keep dreaming, I want to see a results.
basically your defense and central midfield sucks monkeyballs and that's why you lose?
Portugal x Sweden
Ukraine x France

Damn it, Portugal vs. Sweden. France, Greece, Romania and Croatia should be happy with the draw.
