Subject: Ballon d'Or

2012-11-29 18:45:18
borkos007 to All
Final 3: Messi, Ronaldo, Iniesta
coaches: del Bosque, Mourinho, Guardiola

two questions: why the hell Iniesta, why the fucking hell Guardiola?
2012-11-29 19:52:50
I'd say why the fuck Ronaldo, than why Iniesta ;)
2012-11-29 19:57:26
Well, that's easy. It's always Mess/Ronaldo/3rd guy (usually barca player).
2012-11-29 20:13:38
Because Iniesta has won 3 continental/world cups more than Messi&CR together :p

Guardiola I have no idea. I'd have gone for Di Matteo anyway :)
2012-11-29 20:13:52
So true. But I still don't get the point "Why the hell no Pirlo" :/

Edited: del Bosqur deserved Ballon d'Or imo :)

champion of Spain + 46 goals and 12 assists in league + 10 goals and 3 assists in CL + 7 goals and 1 assist in Portugal + 8 goals in other tournaments with Real

in total: 71 goals, 16 assists

now tell me why Iniesta
2012-11-29 20:16:24
lol, did he win those world cups in last year? I don't think so and it's a trophy for years 2012

Iniesta was disappointing in Barca, had some injury problems etc.

in what way was he better than for example Pirlo, who had an amazing year in Serie A and was the main reason why Italy got to the final of Euro?

and Guardiola is a joke. Klopp, Conte [unbeaten in whole season!], Prandelli, Di Matteo, even Bielsa deserved it much more than he did
2012-11-29 20:20:08
Well, one of those yes. :p I agree with you, but we both now that titles and goals count most..
2012-11-29 20:20:12
In fun fact,see Langhe's post.

Seriously, I think he was been choseen due to Euro 2012 and what he has done in the few past years for Spain NT & Barcelona.

2012-11-29 20:23:39
What about Sneijder season 2009-2010 then? ;)
2012-11-29 20:25:15
Ok, but if titles count, then:

Torres: Euro and CL
Mata: Euro and CL
Alonso, Ramos, Casillas: Euro and Spanish Championship
Silva: Euro and English Championship

Iniesta: Euro and...Copa del Rey
2012-11-29 20:39:27
Drogba won Champions League and FA Cup by himself last year
Falcao was the most amazing scorer ever of a "normal" club last year
and Pirlo...seriously, he won the Serie A and took italy to Eurocup final by himself like Drogba did with Chelsea

...now let's talk about coaches

Di Matteo won a Champions League and a FA Cup always being the underdog, with one of the weakest team of last 10years and coming from the assistant manager bench
Conte, Klopp and Bielsa made magnificents season with their teams, all of them made really a new style of football
Guardiola...wtf he just won a Copa del Rey, not even considering that the Ballon d'Or is a prize for the whole year and Guardiola only coached 5 months in 2012

come on let's be serious...it's just marketing, Messi is going to win it even with a 8 month injury
2012-11-29 20:47:56
This whole prize has been a joke since Sneijder didn't win after amazing season with Inter and Nederland
2012-11-29 20:51:03
I agree it's a joke...but honestly I got to this point when Sammer won it instead of Del Piero
2012-11-29 20:54:41
Platini and his staff is a joke. No surprised here.
2012-11-29 20:58:01
Platini didn't choose the nominees - blame the coaches, players and journalists, they were the ones who voted.
