dude fifa 14 database may be a bit of help, but not to make the skills based on it... first of all fifa 14 overall system if pretty bad, and some attributes are far from reality... for example Falcao has 93 finishing, Cristiano has only 92 and Messi has 97, etc... then a player who is 85 overall as a RW position can became 86 or 84 if you change his position to a RM, that may be his position in reality... and the overall is based almost entirely on the last season form, which is not very accurate... then most of the olders player are underrated and most of the 21-25 years players are overrated... i'm post later how i see the skills of the best players in every position (in my opinion)

haven't search pesdatabase but i guess is more accurate then fifa because it is more realistic games, but they are just games... probably there's no such accurate sites with all the stats and with value atributtes for each player without paying... but still i think you can find the basic statistics for every player on the UCL site for thoose teams... then most of the big and decent clubs from Europe have a more complex statistics for each player on official sites, but without atributtes and so far, and most league have off sites with basic stats too... espnfc, transfermakt also has accurate basic stats for each player, and there's others... for example http://www.fcbarcelona.com/football/first-team/staff/players/messi/stats... it's pretty good to make an ideea of a basic player skills especially if u don't know him that well, but finally you must see him playing a few matches on top level to be less subjective and more realistic, basing just on stats it's not good either... i found 2 sites like whoscored.com... www.footballdatabase.eu and www.goal.com, but there not so much better then yours... for example to make an ideea he's the same player on thoose 3 sites :

a completely average player from Legia, Mikita, who is too weak to play for Legia has higher skill than Lukasz Piszczek from Borussia...:D
Furman 85 and Zyro 84...both better than Blaszczykowski, almost whole team of Newcastle United, and on the level of Liverpool's first team
