4 games per week are too much
3 games per week are difficult

What about this idea?
The season would shorten to 14 weeks. The game is a little bit faster but not a drastic change.

National cup - would remain the same as today.
Domestic league - I prefer one league round each Sunday. No irregularities.
International league - instead of the International cup there would be international league which would copy the system of Domestic leagues. All clubs would have the chance to compete for being the best in Sokker and there would be no early drop offs like in the cups, so even new users would be entertained for whole season

so it would be leagues with 7 teams?

i dont like it, I mean i like the idea generally, I just dont like decreasing number of teams in league

12 rounds are not enough i think for 8 teams in group

I like it but 12 league rounds?

Your idea with 14 league rounds is perfect, but we need 16 weeks :-P

We could increase the number of league rounds to 14 if there are only direct promotions without play offs (season would be 14 weeks long) or keep the play offs but the season would remain 16 weeks long.

honestly as you organized it, I really like it.

If you want to reduce for example to 15 or 14 weeks, you could leave the playoff only one game as now and maybe a midweek championship round in the mid of season...

I see now that I proposed the exactly same thing as You in the dev diary topic but with 16 weeks season and 8 teams in league
I like it more than devs option 3 but have some doubts about friendlies during promotion/relegation playoffs as they would be training gaining shit matches which I would like to avoid.

I made a little upgrade

Length of season:
option 1 - 14 weeks (no play offs - only direct promotions)
option 2 - 15 weeks (1 play off game)
option 3 - 16 weeks (2 play off games)

National cup: It would remain the same as today. The number of rounds depends on how many teams are in the country
Domestic league: 14 rounds each Sunday. No irregularities.
International league: instead of the International cup there would be International league which would copy the system of Domestic leagues. All clubs would have the chance to compete for being the best in Sokker and there would be no early drop offs like in the cups, so even new users would be entertained for whole season

I do like 4 games a week but I understand that it's a bit too much for some players.

So here's another option with 3 games a week:

a) League games > Cup games

This is the same question real life football has to face: what is more important, national league or those fancy cup competitions? I believe league games are more important because they define your club's level, plus everyone gets to play the same amount of games there. That's why options 1 and 2 are problematic to me as they feature more cup matchups than national league games.

b) 12 teams per league improve gameplay

Some might disagree but I believe this would make things a lot more exiciting. In the 8-team format you often get one very strong team so the end of the season gets boring for average teams who have nothing to play for. The same applies to the bottom of the table if one super weak team is destined to take the last place.
In a 12-team format you could have the following rules:
1st place gets automatical promotion
2nd place plays a playoff match
5th-8th play playoff matches
9th-12th get automatical relegation

This would result in more dynamic gameplay, both during the season but also long-term since you'd be less likely to stay stuck with the same teams for ages.

c) 2 league games, 1 cup game per week

So this would be an altered version of option 3: 2 league games per week and on the 3rd day we play the national cup for the first 6 weeks and then the international cup for the final 6 weeks.

The obvious drawback is that each cup would be limited to 64 teams. I don't think that's a huge problem for the national cup: the first two divisions would provide 60 teams and then you'd get an additional 4 teams from the 3rd division. That should more or less include all the teams that have a shot at winning this. Everyone below this would get their own cup, giving them better chances to go far. Maybe the winner of the lower cup would get an automatic spot in the higher cup competition the following year.

The international cup would be more problematic: 64 spots is not a lot for the top division. I don't have a perfect solution for this but it's safe to say that even in the current format there are way less teams in each year's Champions Cup that have a realistic shot at winning the competition. So we just need a fair rule that makes sure all the best teams get to be in the top cup. Everyone else would be in lower level cups as well.
Also I just realized that the dev's suggestion includes group stages so they don't seem to want to allow more spots per cup either.

The good part about this solution would be that it minimizes the amount of games you lose if you crash out of cups early.

Why do you need 12 national cup rounds? That would mean 4096 teams, no country has that many and most have waaaay fewer.
