No issue with what you said, but I would swap the national cup with the champions league. Then winners can mve straight on to the next level after winning their own cup. Seems like a more logical and fluid flow.

but in reality I am absolutely sure that the consensus is that 16 weeks is too long.

for young people like you @MBerhrend is normal to want things to be fast you have much more free time but here most if users are like me oldies :) we like things bit slow that is why we need to find compromise solution and seems 14 weeks seems ok for both sides . Of course it could disappoint both sides as well but in the name of the game i think all of us should step bit back and consolidate around one solution.

You say 14 weeks is long, but the poll says 70% of people want 14 or more weeks. So no, not of course I think my opinion is majority, but fact

keeping the game in 16 weeks gives it a short shelf life.

I will disagree with that fast game you get far more easy bored few times you forgot line up and you give up season then next season you do it again and you give up. long games when you put a lot efforts and long time you get addicted ..and is hard to leave :) watching game on sunday is like ritual. And also do not forget season not only get shorter but there will be more official games .
