Yes ... it is still game and real true. Players have only 8 skills and can make players so specific like iniesta, zlatan, ronaldo .... It is difficult for dev make something specific and understant it.

But pace could be one skill which show for what is player good. If is good striker for counter attack, or for static and header.

Or if is mid good to wing position or play deep or offsiad line...

It will be good for tactic and changes in tactik.

maybe to make some inborn skills for players and this skill can change only experience, U21, NT matches ...

this trainink system will still same .... similar players ... no unigue players ... but i will be still love sokker :D

This is game and if we can have players like Messi and Ronaldo in 5-th division we can have multiple Usain Bolt also :)

@Raul I agree that we need to slow down training what ever you decide at the end, because when we started play this game 3*divine striker was very exclusive and after 10 seasons we get first one like that in Croatia. Then they added superdivine skill and we it wasn't easy to have all round striker, so back then I would need to choose if technique or pace is more important to me for way I'm playing and I hope this changes will go in same direction. That would add little bit more value to make good tactic. This new way of training could be nice option, but if you just tweak number on training and slow it down what we have right now it could also be good and fast option.

Also please don't make this game to fast, because most of us want to take it in some slower pace (now with corona maybe we can use faster pace). But normally we want game that can be played 10-20 minutes per week if we are busy and to be able to do spend more time here (new tactics, transfer list, forum...) like few hours per week. I know it is hard to find balance.

So we will have two competitions:

National Cup - all users in the country will participate
National League - only teams from the lowest divisions can play

I like this conception BUT:
1) There will be stronger teams eliminated in 1st-5th round of the National Cup. So they won't be participating in the National League? I need to know where is the boundary between teams that would participate National League and which would not on examples from countries of big, average and small size

2) I think we should merge National League in smaller countries into Continental cup which would have the same parametres of the National League only it would be international for several small countries from the same continent. It makes no sense to have both National Cup and National League in country which has only 20 users. National Cup would end and the National League would start the next week. It would be pretty much the same competition (or there would be only very few users if you wanted to split already small userbase into weaker and stronger teams).

Off season leagues optimisation - it's good to get an update on this, and that it is still being worked on. It will be a good thing when it is implemented.

New season calender proposal - look forward to seeing what is out there. If many ideas are presented (say 10) it would be good to have multiple polls in succession. So it cuts down. 10 this poll. Then top 6 ideas the following poll and then the top 3 for a face off. This way it should not only be one of the most popular that gets selected, but also gives people who voted for a lower ranked option a chance to have their say on the final system.

If when there are 3 remaining, 2 are very similar, you really need to have a face off between the top 2 ideas because the two "similar ones" may split the vote (so in theory, the non similar one could be "most popular", but really it was the least favoured ones as the other two split the votes).

League cup - this is a definite improvement from the current system. It seems like it will kill any chance of having a continental cup, unless the top teams from the national cup get to play in a continental cup after the national cup (ie the finalists/semi finalists play in a smaller continental cup competition). A 64 team continental competition, which will allow 3 or 4 users from each continent to participate, and only take up 6 weeks of the likely 14 week season.

Alternatively, you could start a continental cup prior to bigger nations finishing their national cup, by having some "reserved spots" in the draw for teams that get knocked out.

In this example, you have 3 nations, finishing at three different times Country A finishing earliest, Country B finishing a week later, and country C finishing 2 weeks later. (it is a very small draw to show my point and because I made it in word with limited space lol)

Here you see, in the first round, everyone knocked out prior to the round, from all 3 countries, participates. In the second round, Country B, which finished one week later (so the finalists couldn't make the original draw) and Country C (the semifinalist losers couldn't make the original draw), have spots guaranteed to them in the second round

And then in the 3rd round, the finalists of Country C, who couldn't make the tournament at the start, are able to make it later and slot in to their guaranteed spots.

The advantage of this is you can commence the continental cup earlier, which means more teams are able to play in the competition (as you can afford to have more rounds), but the top teams, who are still in their national cup, are also able to participate when they get knocked out/win their national cup

ie everyone gets to play it regardless of how strong or weak your team is, and regardless of how big or small your country is

Current number of users in each continent. Now I know these numbers can change, but except of South America they are all together as big as one country elsewhere.

Asia and Oceania:
Việt Nam 90 users
Zhōngguó 39
Indonesia 36
Australia 17
Pilipinas 13
Malaysia 10
Nippon 7
Daehan Minguk 7
Singapore 7
New Zealand 7
India 5
Hong Kong 5
Prathet Thai 5
U.A.E. 4
as-Saʻūdiyya 4
O‘zbekiston 3
Īrān 3

Ghana 11 users
Misr 10
Al Maghrib 8
Nigeria 7
Sénégal 7
Cameroun 4
Kenya 4
South Africa 4

OK nice but... what about the arcade bug which allows the wild trading ?

Main focus shouldn't be to correct these kind of bugs ?

It's on the list, but without general code update (current one is really old and can make lot of troubles to work on it) we cant fix it right now.
First we need to prapare Sokker for development, then we can fix problems like that, for sure they will be addressed as soon as it will be possible.

Short news with not much stressful items like it thanks @raul :)

I like it.

Africa could go ahead with no interesting pairing like I posted above.

Asia and Oceania: Could very easily implement the above draw I made, as only Zhonggou, Indonesia would need spots reserved for their finalists, and Viet Nam for the final 4 teams

North and Central America: Exactly the same as Asia and Oceania

South America a little harder, but same theory. I'm sure it could be fairly easily coded in (would be the same as the above, just with more rounds)

One thing please keep the meaning of the cup and give cl spot for winner cup is the shorter and easy road for weakest teams to CL

I wonder what do other users from smaller countries think about the League cup idea. I would also like to know what do Devs think about this because they must have tackled this problem in the decision making process.
2020-05-15 14:34:31
I definitely think what you are saying holds true.

I think a league cup is more a change for bigger nations rather than smaller ones, but one which is still interesting.

One problem, well not really a problem just a nothing, is that any country less than 8 users either wont have a league comp (because div 1 won't be involved).

If Div 1 is involved, then it is likely for some small nations it is just a repeat of the national cup, because their national cup is finished so quick, it finished before the league cup starts.

If however they keep national cups at a minimum of 128 teams, then for the small countries, the league cup won't go ahead because it will just be a bunch of bots playing in the league cup, so not really useful.

So you can see, no matter what they do, it's really more of a new competition for the bigger nations rather than the small ones. But I'm not against it, because I can see how it could be useful.

BUT a continental cup would still be a lot more useful than this league cup

Instead of reading "League Cups a few weeks later. Teams from the lowest divisions, that drop out of the National Cup until the start of their league cup will also start in this cup."

I'd prefer to read "Continental Cups a few weeks later. Teams that drop out of the National Cup until the start of their Continental cup will also start in this cup."

I hope that the International League/International Cup idea hasn't been turned down as for me personally, even if I play in a League Cup, it will just be a stroll in the park for my team as I would just be playing against bots.
2020-05-15 15:06:19
Well, i think to understand tha idea is best to take beginner perspective (no matter about country scale) or an middle-advanced users (in bigger countries).
For them it's quite attractive, to have some other competition to participate, after elimination from main Cup.

Sure, that for countries with few users it's not so important right now (from other hand it's also no harm), but we hope, that finally we will aquire more users, we cant design game only for current situation.

So, its a cup of another chance, Continental Cups are about something different, and it should be addressed via good international competition idea.
