Subject: »[info]DevDiary 80: “Price is what you pay, value is what

Yes this is a democracy, lot of noise everywhere, people are complaining and a silent majority voting without knowing the consequences of their votes.

I believe the devs should just reform the game as they intended to, without listening to the sokker community.
Everybody will save time and at the end of the day the unhappy users will leave the game and new ones will join.

No offence PlaYa - but see this is someone who likes option 1, but doesn't understand what is going on with the proposal present, or would see why his question is already answered.

National cup can't start after International one, because there will still be teams playing in the knockout stages of the international cup in option one (which would mean you are stopping people playing their national cup), and because in countries like Poland, it goes for 12 weeks, therefore there wouldn't be enough time to run it.

The national cup is also required to be run early so that the league cup can be played with those knocked out from the National cup.

Yes the unhappy ones will leave (which are the vocal ones who are trying to prevent the DEVs making a big mistake). And then sokker will have less numbers because the ones who talk are the ones who drive competitions, who help new users, who answer questions, who find bugs, who recruit people to join etc.

It is well within the DEVs right to do whatever they want, and suffer the consequences, but they realise if they don't listen to the community, and can't convince us that what they want it best, then they waste their time and money, and it will be a failed business.

So yes, they can do whatever they want, and it is their right to do so, but there won't be much left once it's done, and bringing people to games like this is harder than ever, so it's better to keep people they know want to play the game, and keep them as a base, rather than risk losing another 50% users, and hoping enough people join and stay to make up for the losses of not asking and listening to the community.

The concerns about the fact that we will loose the sokker spirit because of the dev proposals are over-exaggerated.
I don't agree with everything but it will still be sokker and I will adapt, as many will do...

3. Form our perspective, after few simulations (and i remember, that i've said, that we need 2 guaranteed games)- we belive than there is a risk when you have 2 guaranteed games of different competitions - to ignore one type of them just for training - instead of that we would like to introduce some other idea, to make game fair for people who will be eliminated from cups - we pretty sure, that it's possible.

If you take into consideration new playing format you accepted

1vs8
1vs7
1vs6
1vs5
1vs4
1vs3
1vs2
--------
1vs8
1vs7
1vs6
1vs5
1vs4
1vs3
1vs2

then in first few weeks, people eliminated from the cup will have lost also their 4-6 league matches, their supporters will be leaving, they will lose money etc.

Do you really think they will use 2 sets of trainees in those two matches weekly?

Or they will try to use international competition to train their youngsters and ignore results?

As for top teams, they will find a way to buy balanced set of trainees no matter what the format will be and try to win in every aspect of the game.

yes if you work you will hard to addapt it will be like mobile version i play now i do not care if i loose or win or who i play with ..
2020-05-22 13:59:18
since week one lie is repeating over and over 25% speed increase with 12 weeks and 4 games per week that is not correct number seems like 50% since so far we had only 2 games barely per week
2020-05-22 14:05:20
For now, i would rather park that part of discussion. I think i's wrong moment to get to much in that kind of details, first we need final calendar:)

Playoff question, why i cant vote for option C no playoff?

Well, i think it's the biggest challenge and you can try different tactics, thats why we belive in that mechanism.
Remember also, that your training players will also get some basic training without playing, or even a bit more with friendly (but still not so much as in official one) - so it gives you also an option to skip some training in 1-2 weeks to use stronger players instead.
2020-05-22 14:16:01
Then it's still an answer "option 2 - reworked".
You know my conserns about guaranteed matches, but for now, just we need to decide about more general ideas.

Thats also why we give you detailed questions - you can claim for 3 games in week and then, in next step we can talk about competition types, and it will be different challenge then - like: "ok, we have 3 games, how we should motivate users to play for win in all of them and not use one type just for training".

For now, i dont see a better answer for it than group stage & cup rounds combined with some training adjustments.

Already commented :) we cant, to harsh punishment relegating 50% of league without chance to defend.

You're right, sorry.

jezo to Raul
RAUL .... you still say play to win .... OK

i want play to win but say me how i have to play for win and train ????

but how i will train my 16-17-18-19-20-21y players when this players are weak for play in LEAGAUE, National league, INternational league ....

We will still some competition play only for training and no for win.

friendly will not have good effect for training ...

YOU want still more, more official matches and make UNREAL boring game and still forget for matches in same level for this young players. Who want play still only with A team???? me know..

Why do not make B team league like official match for young players + subtitutions players and some playesr from A team....

WE need matches for this young players and no XY official matches play to win ....
