But not everybody trains 16-21 yo players so why these users should be forced to have such young players to play in a B young team league ?

Raul to jezo
It will work good, lests asume:
you have 10 slots. Lot of ideas you can make to use it.

1.
you decide to pick up all 10 places with 16-17 players - your main challenge will be how to put them for official games, so probably not all of them will get 100% training, but you need to remember about basic training level and friendlies - just some of them will train at 70-80% level, still not so bad. (and quite similar for now, as friendlies are less effective than league).
Sure, with 16-17 players it will be hard to get to the top - but you can focus on that if you want, and try to create another Ajax Amsterdam.

2.
you can decide, to train 4-5 really young players, and 5-6 quite good players in age 22-23 - you can use them for winning, they will still be effective in training (especially, that in that age more sokker stars are born), and search for opportunities for young players - giving im minutes in games where you have strong possition, deciding about substitutions in the end of the match when you are winning, etc.

and probably lot of different other combinations.

You will be motivated to get for next round of any cup, to have more flexible options.

They will be forced to play in lower divisions and lose matches if they want to develop young players. This way they will force strong teams to invest in older trainees and not trade young ones for profit.
2020-05-22 14:46:46
and that's rather fair, to not allow train 10 x 16yo, in top division.
But you will be still able to pick few young players and balance them with some older.

OK having 70-80% of full training without official match could work few weeks per season, I guess.

Raul,

How much results of this poll will give you the decision to take :
- numbers as they are
- a gap sufficient to take the decision with no hesitation (which gap : 5% ? 10% ?)

I ask for this because some questions have multiple answers such the number of teams in a league.
If the result of this question is :
8 - 200 votes
12 - 210 votes
14 - 205 votes
16 - 215 votes
What would be your decision ? please

I didnt mean after group phase instead each other, each separate day, so only those who play internacional elimination phase have 4 games per week but didnt remember Polska and other big nations who need many weeks for their national cups
2020-05-22 15:00:51
Ah, sorry, i missed that.

Well, in your example there is 75% voices for options with bigger leagues - so it would probably lead to decision about 2 games per week and extended discussion about lenght of season.

But i think your question is more about general ideas - what we will do, if for example option 1 and option 2 will get similar number of votes - in that situation smallest step will be probably better.
2020-05-22 15:05:39
No problem :-)

And yes, indeed, 2nd point is more about i thnik.

Otherwise, this question would be even more biased with one choice (no change : 8) and 3 choices (10 and more).
2020-05-22 15:12:14
well, with 3 games in week there is just one option - 8 teams, if we will decide to introduce two games per week it gives space for more, and can give a bit longer season too, thats why we decided to make that 4 options.
2020-05-22 15:19:31
I didnt mean after group phase instead each other, each separate day, so only those who play internacional elimination phase have 4 games per week but didnt remember Polska and other big nations who need many weeks for their national cups

Majority of the world will have a 7 week cup
Six countries will have a 8 week cup
Five countries will have a 9 week cup
Two countries will have a 10 week cup
Polska countries will have a 12 week cup

So, after group stage of international league there will be not so many teams in final stages of both cup competitions, but then second wave of cup matches will start, so there will be quite a few teams
which will have 3 or 4 games per week, not counting NT coaches (who are out of current discussion).

Is it possible we are trying to change too much at once?

At the moment I think the issue limiting both options is the new "international cup" which is included in both options. It means it is very difficult to think of other creative options on how you could possible restructure leagues (to include more teams) without causing there to be too many matches per week.

Personally I would prefer there to be 3 matches, as I do think that 4 matches is too much of an increase. However, I also think you could still change league structures by having 3 matches a week if the International Cup (in it's current form of occupying one match a week) was removed.

For example below, you could change leagues to include 12 teams whilst also keeping the current number of weeks.

Maybe the "league cup" suggestion could even change to be some form of group stage option, for example with groups of 6 teams playing only one match against each other, followed by normal play-offs or cup games;

In short, I think there are probably more solutions available that could make the 3 match option more attractive.

Just realized

2. Cup games are additional challenges that enrich the game without creating too much training difference compared to those who drop out (10 available slots will be divided into fewer matches, but they can still be used).

So, cup matches will have smaller impact on training then league matches, although being also official?
2020-05-22 15:41:35
No official games give much more training effect than friendly ones. But with already one championship game played for active trained players, cup games for those players will give onyl few bonus. If active trained players only play into cup games, they will receive same amount of training as in championship one

+1 I don't understand why everybody is in fond of this international cup ; this is useless from my point of view.
I would rather have 2 league matches per week on regular basis.
With 14 teams in league it means 13 weeks for one season, plus the inter season week with the play off, so 14 weeks all together.
