It's not about exp or qualifications, but what you actually do for the team, even if you ain't running as coach for the moment.
We've been building our team for about 15 seasons in a row now (maybe a couple less, but approx.)
Multiple managers buying and training players, for the sole reason of making them ready for the NT.
With the new training system, the amount of managers for this exploded! We went from 6 to 8 managers to 50+...all committed to train players, adjusted to the needs of the NT / U21 and making sure they all get at least 96% training each week.
Lots of them, and I'm one of them, have bought or recruited new staff (unearthly) to make sure that we did the best we can to boost the players to the maximum of their potential! So, again...we all love our green thursdays, but since the majority of those green skills are from Belgian players, I think it's fair to say we, as a community, do much more than considering the NT / U21 as a fun side project.

We did the same (as close as possible).
I am sure there are a lot of closed communities in this game.

Honestly speaking for some NT's i prefer to disallow to show their skills, since some NT coaches only promote their own team players, who definitely are not at NT level, they just select them and then put them on TL. This creates more the feeling that NT in my eyes loses more value as it's basically corrupted at Sokker level. Shame.. im here talking about an observation for U21 Mexico more precisely.

Maybe looks like overreacting here, but definitely does not look good for NT reputation here. Just saying.

The least would be to simply tell that my player does not qualify for NT criterias and i'll leave it there XD

Yes, it's a shame, it looks like Mexico u21 coach is using the NT only to make more money for himself...

As I've said, some people overestimate the actual interest in NTs... there are 5 votes in Mexico, he is the only candidate...

It is hard, because how do you convince a country to pick a guy who's not a native? I looked at Mexico U21 when I was checking out countries and didn't think I'd ever win an election against a native player.

We’ve had several non Australian coaches (we’ve even had borkos back in the early days). I find what makes it hard as a non native is you’re not involved in their forums or their community as a whole and any election campaign then just looks like you only care about being an nt manager for the sake of the extra content as opposed to actually wanting to help the community.

Yeah, it's sort of a chicken and egg problem. I think another issue is if you don't have players from that country on your roster, it's tough to have a reason to be invested (before running).

That's sad indeed, especially that, they could do much better under someone passionated rather than some managers who only care about ''boosting the price tag of their players''

Imo, if there's a demand for an improvement to the benefit of the game, like seeing the skills of the players for NT managers, and there's a solution that you can split the disadvantages (injuries) so they won't bring the players in jeopardy for their club teams, then it's for the general best of the game to just implement both and be done with all problems and issues.
People who don't want to show their players skills are only doing it for themselves, so it's not in the best interest for the game. I get that the issue of the injuries is a key factor, but with the split solution, there's nothing left to complain about.
Also, in the case of the mexican U21 coach, it doesn't harm that the skills are visible... He isn't using them anyways.
And as far as that case is going...I always plead for a blacklist of bad NT managers, Make sure he doesn't get elected again...problem solved.

I just intentionally hide them for Mexico U21 as they don't deserve such players haha but generally speaking I'm not hiding skills personally. Just for Mexico U21 as their input for NT is so ridiculous and bad that let them play with players that even in my team would be sacked right away

I don't think they even know about that. I didn't know. And I have no idea what bug reports You are talking about, I saw none of them

Can You specify which one and what NT? These which I have checked were ok and I cant check every NT team looking for that single case where it is not ok.
