You've sold yesterday, we are obviously talking here about transfers from 1.01.2024
It's weird that they would decide to make such change from 1.01 without any information, not even at beginning of new season etc.
Therefore I'd guess that they typically, as always fucked up with something and don't even know there's a higher tax.

It is surely a progressive tax based on a player's time in a club. and it seems fine to me, but without warning, well no.
Regressive* and yes, IMO a very good idea, but NOT unnanounced, that's not fair.
strange without announcement, and without an information about the tax when you set him on transfer list
I just wonder... recently my DD73 was "refreshed" - I had to mark it again as read. Maybe there was going to be information there and then but something went wrong and no one even checked.
Anyway, I will try to get some information.

mauser to
kryminator
so far they never published a DD without showing it to linguists before
It would be nice if we gather more data about what we get after selling a player.

No it's not. Nobody said it and it is not obvious at all.
BTW, I said "t must be something related either with the big amount or with the new year".
You should first read, then chat.

I sold a player yesterday right before midnight in server time. Payed 10% tax, but it was my own junior. Still, it seems to be changed since today.
First example - 141 days in club - 17% tax.
Second example - 121 days in club - 19% tax.
So yes, it looks like it is related with how long player was in club.

Geston, I appreciate all what you do here, but it's not on you to do this and to try to find out what DEVs has implemented. If such changes aren't even announced and everyone has to find out by themselves this really has to be the end of sokker. You are an active user with some time to investigate, but that's only 5 % of the community maybe... There is no competition with the "informed" 5 % only... I really hope :
* this was just a test and they forgot to turn it back after testing.
* that all transfers with this tax system are compensated to get back to 10% until further notice...
Otherwise I don't think I can go on... Ok, it's just a game, but you invest some serious time in it. When things like this happen unnanounced then :-s... I mean this influences strategy of teams immensely...

This is 100% true, that it should be announced much earlier. Full agree with that. Without announcing such crucial change it is like disrespect to users.
Still, having free time I have fun analysing what is happening here and Im doing it not for DEVs, but for myself and other users.

Off course! Only positive thoughts about that Geston. What you do is great...

You can also discuss if this is the right thing to do IF this will be implemented and confirmed.
TL is not a lot active anymore because of different trainingsystem. Everyone can train their talents in the best possible way and rather keeps them instead of selling. Talents on TL are more rare and some teams try to find that talent, get a proof of this talent and try to sell again. Question is what is wrong with that? It's part of the game and I don't see why this strategy must be "sanctioned" this way...
TL is one of the only ways you can still see there is some activity here. This way that will be less too. There are a couple of teams who only train youngsters to sell. Maybe they want to "punish" them, but the difference for them is small. A lot of people are blinded by some big money earnt by a team on a fast-sale and big margain sale. They easily forget that teams who work like this also have setbacks, have to sell youngsters with more than 50% loss because of the lack of talent too... They take the risks for the richer teams who don't spend time buying and checking talent.
