If it get 100% critical with user numbers, there will be merging of nations, bringing some New excitement for at least more then just few hundred
Some comments from the "...managers in Sokker"-thread from 10 years ago:

- Unfortunately, the game has stagnated...the soccer IS DYING....HELP...transplant quickly ....sososos
- sokker will die soon
...but also one enlightened comment :o)

Poey til Charles Hill
I am sure there are thousands of users that will never quit.
So dying is nonsense, only if Greg pulls out the plug and i don't think this will happen.

And 10 years ago this game had a stable over 30 000 users, so it did die in some way.
On the other hand I think it was unavoidable even if it didn't stagnate for years.
And I doubt it's possible to reverse the trend with a makeover on get back to 30k or even stable active 20k.

I'm not sure how reliable those old numbers are in terms of actually active users. But of course there's no denying that the user base has been on a downward spiral since what feels like forever.
However, the fact that we're still here and the user base is pretty stable nowadays around 7-8k makes me believe that the above statement about diehard users keeping the game alive is correct.
At any rate, my money is on adaca's prediction rather than Tass' :o)

I mean, these type of browser games are so 15 years ago. I play one other game like this (soccer) and it's OK, it mostly lets me scratch the itch of actually training my own youth school kids with individualized training plans.
The rest are really trash

I think the number drops because people have grown up. Their priorities, responsibilities, their duties, everything change.
But also there are a number of users that are still loyal to this game.

I am 29 now.. was under 15 when i first time played :D will always be loyal :D
The only reason and responsible for the slow death is the new changes of the game.
They have managed to drive out the people.
I'm here,but im not..as many others.

True, but after the changes there is no hope!!
They create a monster without hope to be game again.
Thats the worst thing!
Before that we had (have) a hope, now?

Nope, the game was close to death (Flash Engine), they save it.
But yes, it's a shame to have changes that made the game even worse. A major failure to analyze and listen to the community.
