1 year is way too long time in between updates

1. They’ve announced it now and you have however many weeks left this season and then the entire of next season before a single coach retires. That’s 16 real life weeks before you even have a chance of losing a coach to retirement. How much lead in do you need? I mean that in itself is is about 1/3 if a year and you’re saying 1 year ago before a change is too long to remember?
2. Those starting in the last 12 months will not have 5x unearthly coaches, so it’s almost irrelevant. Looking for a coach with 1,2 unearthly skills for training costs nothing on the recruitment. Would be like 10-15k per search.

People are making a mountain out of a molehill here. Coaches don’t just go on retiring see you, they give an announcement and then you get a full season before they retire. Also they’re not guaranteed to retire either.

All that complaining over nothing. However, I’d be totally fine if coaches got reset to 60 if people are that worried about it.

well, i started only ~1.5 years ago and only now I managed to hire 5xmagical coaches so it is not just about unearthly coaches.
finding magical coaches is not cheap and takes time. 1.5 years is not that much of time from the start where you have no fanbase, stadium, start with imperfect players for training. you had started more than 4 years ago so your club's situation is way different than that of those more recent teams

You don't need to spend millions to be able to win your league like the most of us. One of the benefits of playing in a smaller country.
Playing with trainees and a handfull of decent A-players and you're champion of Australia. How old are your coaches now and how much money do you have on the bank?
Also, don't forget that there are a lot of managers playing the game far more recretional or with NT purposes, due to the neglect of the game for over 10 years before the new devs came. People come to Sokker to have a bit of fun and to kinda come home to. This change might decide if they stay or leave the game.
It's you who is minimalising this... you have no idea if you are not in the same situation as all the people who will lose their entire staff next year AND don't sit on a big pile of money. Like I said...only traders and people with young staff have nothing to worry about. The rest...well...

The rest often had the same staff for 10+ years and had nothing to worry about. If anything it would be unfair towards newer users, who invested ~the same into coaches and will have them for much shorter time.

If they have high level coaches then they train, if they train then they have either money or cash invested into players that they can sell

You’re creating a crazy reality where people have top coaches, but at the same time they don’t have money and have low value youths and would have to sell their teams to replace their top coaches. If that’s the case then they don’t need top coaches.

And everyone has at least over a season to get ready and gather enough resources.

Having said that I agree that people come here to have fun and most changes introduced during last 1+ year are negative and definitely NOT increasing the fun in the game. It’s like waiting to see how they will try to fuck over this or other group of users next.

IMO it would be enough to just delete the age of coaches because it’s a pointless thing and there are much more important aspects of this game that need changing.

I also get excluded from the transfer market, we get less sponsorship, less gate revenue as well (what’s your point). I’d rather be in your situation with competition and access to the transfer market.

I have sufficient money to replace all my coaches and I’m likely to lose at least 2 and maybe 3-4. Thing is though I don’t have unearthly assistants (never needed them as they don’t add a huge amount overall).

I’m also one playing it with an nt focus too. All 10 of my trainees are Australian talent and I train many of them until 28-29 so you can’t hold that against me either.

You make a lot of assumptions but I’m impacted like the rest, just I have the funds to be able to work past it and I haven’t splurged on coaching staff in the past few months to instantly lose that investment. I just look behind my own self centred view to look at what this change is doing from a macro/global level.

I understand those who have splurged in say the past few months (I’ve said it several times already) and I’m totally fine with the idea of adjusting coach ages to 60 as a once off to take some of the heat off the situation.

I just don’t believe this is a big deal in most situations and you won’t convince me otherwise.

The league restructure was far worse and was crippling to many far more then this will ever be.

All this said, I do agree there are higher priorities than implementing this. The injury freq/length, the ys reform, doing something for those in smaller sized userbases like merging leagues etc. All of that I’d have higher prioritised but I think this has been prioritised as they’re still trying to tinker with the economy.

I just did 10 draws [max settings] - in total 5 magical, 4 brilliant, 1 incredible

2 very nice magicals that could easily be youth coaches
3 brilliants very good for assistants

I will actually leave one of them as my new assistant due to very low age and wage
