have fun tactically destroying 25 rating bots with substitutions
2022-08-18 14:27:16
Seemingly, someone has period.
2022-08-18 14:27:51
I hope that you're prepared and won't have to run to the pharmacy :-)

No need, remember I'm playing bots and I am in green currently. :D

So as I've said...you want more bench places and subs only for training purposes, not tactical etc. need...

that is your assumption thats the only one side of it i also want few more subs to change tactic
but because this game is all about training and trade i want the training to be more liberated since trade is for people with time ...

on other hand increasing the subs and and conditions and reserves slots will be a huge increase of records in db and that been said im skeptical it will be approved or done anytime soon ...

5 subs would fit new Training system.

10 young players Plays a friendly game on Friday, then additional 23 minutes in league games - 2x 5 subs. That gives possibility of effective traning for young players and same time your team can play most of time with good older players in league. You doesnt sacrifice result over training or opposite.

Sorry my ignorance, but wouldn't it be a simple change? It is just 2 numbers, it shouldn't take that long.

3 subs -> 5 subs
5 bench slots -> 7 bench slots

For people who doesn't need this, it is quite simple, don't use it. I can't see any negative effects, just a interesting improvement for people who would use it.

3 subs -> 5 subs

This part should be easy, as it's probably only restricted in match engine, changing it there should be enough

5 bench slots -> 7 bench slots

This might be much harder, I would guess that it's indepentently written with 5 bench slots in many places in code, for example in match engine, match viewers, all pages with match settings, maybe table in database where all match settings are stored, many database queries might need a change to make it all work without issues.

Overall it should be doable, but for sure it's not just a "change 2 numbers somewhere in the code" :)

You doesnt sacrifice result over training or opposite.

If you play at semi-high level then using even one 16-20yo is sacrificing results already and You're proposing using up to 5 youths a game (for 20+ minutes I assume)

It has nothing to do with what the owners were presenting, that they want to promote playing for results etc...

Of course it would be the easiest way to fully train, no doubt about it...I'm already using my 18-19yo sometimes in league to get those extra % but it has nothing to do with being competitive...

Honestly believe that scrapping the difference between official and unofficial and making a 90min friendly match close to max training would be the best and easiest way to go, since everyone could then concentrate on giving their max in league

In current form it's still better to play in lower league than you're capable of and fully training the best youths...

I'm also talking within perspective of NT and U21 teams, which really can use 5 subs!
3 forces you to maximally use 2 to have an injury sub ready...
Also... 5 spots forces you to choose which order gets the 2nd sub
1 GK
1 DEF
2 MID
1 ATT

This is generally and in most cases the preferred option, unless, for normal teams, you are a def or striker trainer.
But that also means that IF you have a sub planned for a def or striker position and you have an injury for a def or striker, you are screwed!
It will change much more than you are considering to believe.
Maybe not for you personally, but will it harm a team?
Are more options a bad thing?

I never said that it's bad or not needed at all

All I've said that it's not that important to call it "super urgent"

and I agree that for NTs it would be useful, I said it before, but it's just a small fraction of the game

All I've said that it's not that important to call it "super urgent"

I also said it's not super urgent...multiple times.
BUT you also said you don't see any point in having more than 3 subs and more than 5 spots for subs because you think the majority doens't use subs at all.
Well... the majority doesn't play CC or at the highest division in their country, but almost all managers at high levels will agree that 3 sub options and 5 sub spots is not enough.
You don't need to agree with that, but let's agree that it's a good option for those who want to use that option.

But it would be quite involved in the module to manage playing minutes and injuries, being one of the most discussed topics in the forum, it can be given importance to the topic.

This is 100% true, I am also making 2 changes usually for giving more minutes to my trainee in function of the current match outcome. Sometime I am scheduling three changes and I am in stress al the day due to possible injuries and different player entering in strange positions, loosing their previous training.

+1 to the idea
