Subject: »[change] 5 Substitutions
1) It's not about how many subs managers are making per game.. the idea is, that if a manager uses 2 or 3 changes per game, then if a player gets injury after let's say you all changes were made at 60' then you'll play with 10 or 9 against your opponent..
2) Since teams are playing 2 to 3 or even 4 official games per week, it's actually smart to have 5 subs that your players can rotate and play at their best level.
3) More Subs spots on the bench will never harm anybody, but gives more choice if you have 2 DEFS getting injury, then at least you don't have to enter a striker for DEF role.
4) It's implemented in real life football. And since it's football MANAGER game i think basic rules of soccer/football should match in game vs Reality.
There are a lot of games per week so more subs is completely important update.
It gives also more options for tactics and making an impact in a game. That's what managing is all about. Those who won't use it okay. But a lot of people probably would see it beneficial to increase subs number to 5 and bench number i don't know to 10or whatever number of players you have.

It all would be useful, realistic and easy to implement!

Now with 3 substitutions in 3 matches 9 players can play for 45 minutes each, while with 5 substitutions they can play 15 for 45 minutes, which allows more players to be coached.
No matter how many subs you make, 3, 5 or 11, you can't train effective more than 10 players.
Only 10 advanced slots matters. Formation training is crap.

The 10 slots for advanced training, I agree that there are few lots but it is not a topic covered by this thread. 5 substitutions allows you to better manage the minutes of your players, I think that it would be an important change, taking into account that we have an additional game per week.

I know that.
Was just worried if jacktheripper understans training system.
And, maybe Raul will confirm but I heard rumors that 5 subs are on the list with pretty high priority. So...

Raul, can you say anything to this idea?
95 ÷ of the users who wrote in here would like it, including me
Is it so simple just to add 2 slots or is it much more complicated due to... whatever reasons?

If I want to add an attacking sub if I go down a goal, instead of ONE entry: Substitute player X for player Y at position Z, I have to do it 3 or 4 different times. Because instead of checking and doing it at say, 50 minutes or later, I have to put in 3-4 of the SAME entry, at different times (50' , 60', 70' for example).
I agree very much.
In U21 World Cup quarter finals this year I did the defensive tactic and I wanted to switch to offensive if I am losing.
I did it 30' 45' 60' 75', because there are only 4 slots.
opp scored 76th minute.
Didn't have a chance even to try to save the game.

Any news, when this could be implemented? Pretty urgent as teams have to deal with more games and injuries and i think it's pretty crucial rule in Football to be implemented as it exists in real life and it's part of football rules like offside etc.
Off topic a bit, tiny bit of humor, sokker was predicting VAR implementation as it knows offsides and they are undiscussable ;)
Why not implementing finally these 5 subs + longer bench finally, it would be nice.

It's almost 1 year since i started this thread, and never saw any response from devs, so maybe next year or never. :)

I need 5 substitutions to coach more players, bench with more substitutions and expansion of conditional orders and tactics ... what do we need programmers?

Yeah, makes me sad that this rule hasn't been applied and one of the reasons im not paying ''plus'' anymore as this is basics of the football to imitate the base rules of football. And of course too many other ''unimportant changes'' im just on hold to see where the game goes but 5 Subs and longer bench is really the basics and i'll take my decision based on that in the future.
