Subject: Injured player not getting training

In sokker, you won't catch anyone talking about "Achilles tears." It's all about plain old "injuries" causing havoc and leaving us guessing. Imagine this: a player deals with not just physical knocks but also the emotional weight of possible racist comments. Like, seriously, could even be an injury, right? :p

Here's the deal: we all know the game devs are tinkering away, and we're all trying to nudge them to make changes that'll play out in our favor. If a player has an injury of 8 days or more, they shouldn't be able to get any training, as i was in the good ol' days. (Maybe the 8 days threshold could be lowered to 5, because of the many competitive games)

But guess what the devs did? They rolled out 2 league games a week, which sounds cool, except they didn't tweak the injury downtime that much (went from 36 days max to 29 days, give or take). Injuries used to be a pain, mostly 'cause they meant missed training. Now, it's even worse 'cause players can't get in on all those competitive matches. And if you're gunning for the championship, it's a bummer to be held back by these long injuries.

Then, get this, the devs are all in on making benches more competitive for managers. They're banking on these moves to spice up the seasons. Okay, that's cool, but if they want these super-sub players on the bench (you know, the ones who can step up for the main squad), they better open up more training spots. Just my two cents!

I think we missed another good opportunity to make the game more interesting.

It would be much better to see a player go out with a slight injury (bench player goes up, I need to have a long squad with good substitutes) so he can then take training and be available for the next game.

However, the way we are at the moment, turn over has no positive effects (so I don't need any good players on the bench). The starters very often come off with serious injuries and then stay out and without training for weeks.

So you go back on the mkt to get disposable players, who can plug the problem.... without coaching, without planning....

that i didnt know. if they doubled the number of games per week then i think it would be natural to divide length of injury by 2 imo

Yeah, this is what I've been on a soap box about since returning to sokker.

This, and eliminating friendly injuries since people are simply putting 8 players in the corners and not actually playing the game as intended (aka corner tactics)

I hate to use them, but I feel obligated due to there being more competitive matches and the injuries that can be 20+ days

Right, and honestly if you're a PLUS user, it doesn't matter because arcades.

But this game doesn't seem to understand that people who are new actually WANT to play friendlies to get engaged in the game.

People leave because either they can't figure the game out, or there's not enough to motivate them to log in.

Seeing a bunch of nonsense friendlies doesn't help keep newer users engaged
