Sorry for my not good English :-)
And I search for this issue but can not find.
So I want to ask for it and i hope this feature will coming soon because it's just positive for all of us I think.

Just make 2 or more Tactics for choose during the game (not only 1)

Example:

If loose at minute 70 , I want play with formation 2. (more offensive)

If win at minute 70, I want choose
formation 3.

The real issue with tactical orders as it stands now, is that none of them are dynamic.'

Instead of saying "if losing after X minute, do this sub" you have to literally say:

"if losing after 50 minutes..."
"if losing after 60 minutes..."
"If losing after 75 minutes..."

The single best improvement they could do to the tactical interface is figure out how to code it to be dynamic. Right now it's almost pointless to do some tactics since the game isn't smart.


Another situation is when you swap players from one position on the field to a second position...and then want to sub out that player. The game engine is too dumb to sub out the player, they sub out the position number instead.

engines always run mathematically, not rationally.

About those tactic orders. 1 addition could solve lots of things.

Make 2 points within the tactic editoral:

If losing AT minute x, SUB player 5 with player 14
If losing FROM minute x, SWAP player 5 with player 8
If losing BEFORE minute x, SWAP player 5 with player 8 AND SUB player 5 with player 14

AT: The exact time you selected for the order to check
FROM: The exact time you selected for the order to check + all minutes after!
BEFORE: All minutes UP TO the selected time you selected for the order to check

SUB: Player on pitch comes off...player from bench comes on.
SWAP: Player on pitch changes place on pitch with other player on the pitch. Numbers remain with their selected player, order SWAP too, so orders remain with the positions, not the players!

With this kind of flexible orders, you can shift different situations within 1 tactic, so you do not need to enter 5 similar tactics for 1 possible situation!

There should be a possibility to combine tactics into 1 order and also to insert multiple players for a sub or swap, with selection priority:
So I mean f.e.:

If losing at minute 70, player 8 swaps with player 5 OR player 14, so depending on the person on the pitch! If player 5 is on the pitch, HE will swap with player 8.
If player 14 is on the pitch, as a sub for player 5, player 14 will swap with player 8. If both player 5 AND 14 are on the pitch, player 5 has been given priority because he was selected first within the order.

This will make tactics and substitutions much more dynamic!

I think the engine should be taught to react ("behave") offensively and/or defensively.
For example:
"If leading after 60 minutes, play defensively and change tactic to additional tactic : "5-4-1"
Engine should than take more into consideration de DEF quality of all players on the field.
In addition to that, players that play on a certain region (part) of the field should than react accordingly, in this case (5-4-1) as DEF, tackle and try to pass in depth.

1. Play defensively
2. Play standard
3. Play offensive

Yeah, but playing defensively or offensively is different for different managers...

In that matter, the first thing that needs to be done is a huge change in the way tactics work in the ME and in how you, as a manager can make them.
Tactics should behave on 2 ways: ''in ball posession'' and ''not in ball posession'' and a manager should be able to make a tactic in these 2 matters.
So you can position your players based on when you are in ball posession or not.
Also requested before is seperate tactics based on set pieces, throw in's and corners...
However...I don't see that happen with a browser as main core for your engine.
These things could be made for a hard drive core, but then we're talking about lots of money...

Yeah, you would probably need to redo the whole match engine to implement such things

With this engine even if you'd add options like "play more short passes/keep the ball" / "play fast direct balls more often" etc. then it would probably only make sense to always choose the 2nd option because of how the engine is devised, it's not a ME created for many short passes, it usually won't work in practice

Indeed! It's not just random that the devs decided to adjust everything BUT the ME before they start working on that part.
It's way too complicated (for them) to work on it now.
Let's hope all things work out without too much problems up to the point they can say they will start working on the ME...
And maybe...in the end, it might be better to leave all things about the ME as it is, to prevent the game from crashing.
But time will tell...

We are asking for "normal" things here, what you are wishing for is "out of this World "! ... you want a ribbon on it too?! :-)))
Let's se progress at first... baby steps...
"Offensive" or "defensive" it can be created easily... in my opinion, taking the overall ATT level of each player into consideration and the overall DEF level of each player into consideration and change the way they behave no matter the initial match orders. All MID could than become "hidden" DEF, in a defensive scenario... or "hidden ATT" in an offensive scenario, shooting more, shorter vertical passes (no more clearing the ball in the standings in front of the opponent's goal :-)),... stuff like this

Sorry to disappoint you but any step, no matter how small they are, which adjusts the ME is a mayor step!
Off and def is an ME change... it's as much an out of this world adjustment as my idea.

Both as club and NT manager I'd love to have more options with tactics so I can choose which one to use if I'm leading, which one if I'm losing etc.
It would help a lot in preparation for the match.
