Subject: Straight Red Cards

2023-09-05 16:35:43
It has nothing to do with two League games a week, it’s a problem created by bad game calendar
2023-09-05 16:39:19
wich is the same ...

Straight red cards on itself are not the problem.
The problem is the way the red cards are given. It's pure random, so sometimes it makes no sence at all for a player to run against a red card.
A solution could be that a player never receives straight red cards anymore, except when he injures a player in the process.
All other fault occasions should only be punished with a yellow card, tops.
It's as much realistic as only giving 10 players, out of your total squad, training each week...give and take.

No way, I don't want to increase the risk of more injuries :p

The probability of red cards in the first few minutes of the game should be lowered.

That's the only thing I'd say that should be changed, it shouldn't be impossible to get straight red in the first 10 minutes, but usually referees give out warnings with a yellow (even when some deserve red)

I don't see my point made, coming to this conclusion??

The probability of red cards in the first few minutes of the game should be lowered. it shouldn't be impossible to get straight red in the first 10 minutes, but usually referees give out warnings with a yellow (even when some deserve red)

So in the end you agree with my point? :-p
This is exactly what I mean with my 4th line...''All other fault occasions should only be punished with a yellow card, tops.''

Borkos it's 2 + 2 = 4 [is an English saying] injuries and straight reds have doubled both at same time is pretty much unacceptable , the ratio needs to at least halve that half! from 100% [double] to 50%, I say 25% others think around 33% more chance would have been enough from when the 2 games a week kicked in

Ergo the chances of having both a red card and a injury in every game played has doubled, and the games got out of hand with so many red cards killing games [they are then out for the next game too]

It didn't double in any way. You can still get a red card in every game, you will still miss 1 game after a red card if you get one. Nothing changed in this matter.

Injuries are daily so they can change and hurt more than in 14-game league format, red cards work per game, so it doesn't matter if there are 14, 22 or 26 games. A red card is a red card, always influences 2 games - the one you get a red card in and the one after.

If anything with more games to play, a single red card has a smaller impact on the end result of league because it impacts lower % of games.

it 100% did! because we play 2 games a week = 100% more injuries and red c ard, look i've played this for 16 years i've noticed the massive difference so badly i cannot waste my fingers talking to you

In terms of red cards It doesn't matter if there are 2 games a week or 1 or 3...

and there is no difference, you have no data to show etc, you just saw a couple of red cards and you created game-wide theories... as I've already told you I had [me and my opponents] exactly 1 red card in 22 games - where's this massive difference of yours?
2023-09-08 16:10:28
Does that explain why there was 5 red cards in the only 5 premiership matches last week

and i've noticed over about 66 games
2023-09-08 16:26:04
You’ve noticed what exactly in those 66 games, what number of cards?

5 in 5 chosen games has the same meaning as unearthly striker scoring 0/10 in one game and then 6/8 in another game… statistically insignigicant

As I've said before: 22 of my games - 1 red card

Now I checked all of games in my league:

Last 3 rounds = 18 games - 1 red card

Last 6 rounds = 36 games - 2 red cards

Last 9 rounds = 54 games - 4 red cards

I don't see it nowhere near what you are suggesting

Hi guys,

The ratio of red cards remains the same because u r interested in cards/match, as 1 red card affects the next match, not the whole next week. So I think here the importance is to see if what affect is per march or per week

Now, I want to mention this and could be a little of topic but is related:

If you see injuries, the probability of getting an injury per match is still the same, but it affect 2 things : 1_Losing matches and 2_Training. The problem now about injuries, the ratio of losing matches is double, because matches are 2x frequent and also losing training is around double because you are supposed to use your main team twice per week, it is stupid to have 2 main teams

obviously:) I tried to explain it

the probability of getting an injury per match is still the same

from what I remember they decreased both the probability of injury and the average/max length
possibly haven't decreased it enough though

losing training is around double because you are supposed to use your main team twice per week, it is stupid to have 2 main teams

that's not really true though as for the training part - you only need 1 full official game to receive proper amount of training, so as long as we are talking about training purposes, you don't need to play 2 games a week (let alone 3 games a week, and some uses their trained players this way...)

Actually...there is statistically less disadvantage from injuries and cards VS training, in comparison to the previous playing system ( 1 match and 16 weeks )

1. For cards... in the previous system, a red card ment no training for 2 weeks, coming from league games! This system at least allows you to play again in the next training week for the big %. In the previous system, friendlies were only good for 85% training...
Now you can play for at least 99% in the next training week. The week in which the red card occured stays the same.

The only downside in this system is the friendly, being the first game in stead of the last game. This should change.

2. For injuries... if a player plays 1 game each week, like in the previous system, then you have 1/3th less chance of an injury for that week, for 1 player, compared to the new system.
Devs claimed it would be necessary for managers to have enough players to divide them within the matches.
If you're gonna play them, like you said, for multiple matches, then you, as a manager, increases the chances for injuries yourself.

It's like playing against teams with only 11 players, no subs on the bench or in their squad.
If they are 11 beasts of players, and you are lucky enough they do not get injured, then you can win the league against unlucky teams.
But if you play with 30 players each week, and you can rotate, then you decrease the chance for injuries by at least 50% in comparison to the 11 player team.

More injuries and cards during a training week? Obviously... more matches = more risk
But do you need to risk the same players each match? That's another question.

I'm with Borkos in this one.

For me, only 2 things need to change in this matter.

1) Friendlies on wednesday again, like in previous system.
2) NT / U21 injuries needs to be split from teams, so both squads only need to worry about their own injuries.
