I train (mostly) strikers... and in strikers training you have 5 possibilities:
Stamina, Pace, Technique, PASSING, striker...
I propose to CHANGE "Passing" skill for PLAYMAKER skill for Strikers training...
Passing is NOT so useful for strikers as PM skill.
I hope this can be debated and we succeed on this change.

Passing is better for striker than pm.
I prefer them to pass precisely to my winger or to another striker instead of quick but totally *ucked passes nowhere.

Wing is another thing. I talk about strikers.
PlayMaker "Decides" what the player do with the ball... more PM, faster an better decitions to shoot or pass.
Low PM, means that THE PLAYER dont know (or take more time) to choose what to do.
IMHO. (according to sokker rules)
Another thing, is that WE HAVE Passing to train in ALL POSITIONS, But you can ONLY TRAIN PLAYMAKER on MID position... So it´s 4 positions you can choose WHERE to put your player to train Passing.
BUT ONLY AS MIDDFIELD, we can train PM.
Thanks for reply. All opinions are welcome.

I talk about strikers also :)
Pm doesn't make strikers to shot faster or slower or better. Pm is only to make decision to pass.
I prefer my striker in a good position to shot, not to pass.

To move correctly between defenders (not directly towards them), to dribble in the right direction (not towards out of the field)...
If I am not mistaken, in some polish forum it was revealed that PM also works for getting away from DEF.
How much affect passing or PM in the performance of a striker? for me, just a little based on the high score. I would love to see the ATT decreased if only has the 3 main skills. Players need more skills to have good performance (similar to MIDS), then it can be increased the speed of training, more greens more fun. But ofc, it is about the ME and they wont do it (soon).
Comming back to the Idea, PM and DEF is even more important than passing, yes

What about Defense instead of PM?
YES!.... But no.... LOL
I undestand why the DEVS DONT WANT for train to be "EASY"... so if you want that your striker has better defense, well... you put him with DEF ORDER...
i agree with you, i want that too, but i think PM is more "adequate" for a striker...

Both passing and PM are necessary for certain type of ATT order players, depends where he plays. To me i would be against it
I've been having this debate with Raul lots of months ago... But not only for strikers, but for defenders as well.
The problem is that the devs believe that PM is a ''position skill'', with the same value as striker for strikers and defender for defenders.
They believe that the left column skills are all equally valuable for all positions and therefor they decided to make the left column trainable regardless of position, while the right column skills are position defined skills.
I said that PM has much more value and contribution in this ME, as they are aware of.
PM actually makes a player play better, regardless where he plays.
It's better to have a striker with excellent striker and magical PM, than the other way around.
As for defs...having a double divine defender with almost no sideskills (let's say average PM), he will play very average and will be awarded with +- 50 rating points.
Having a double magical defender with magical PM will play heaps better than your double divine defender and will be awarded 70+ ratings
The restriction to train a specific skill only on 1 particular position, with exception of GK, is imo totally unnecessary and invaluable to the game mechanics.
But they didn't agree with what I said about it, several months ago, and they aren't even here now to concern themselves about questions or problems of this order.
I'm with you on this one, but I feel it's a hopeless cause... they won't change things they changed themselves in the updates they implemented.

You are hardly exaggerating with this examples: 15 pm 10 str > 10 pm 15 str in attack / 15 pace 15 def 15 pm > 17 pace 17 def 5 pm in def line.
I cant agree with you, and looking at transfer prices for this kind of players the whole market (99%) doesn't agree wit you.
Pm is nice sideskill for def 11+ is already good.
Pm is kind ok for strikers, but def or passing is better if u ask me.
Pm for mid is best.
So, i will agree with raul.

I challenge you to find magical PM players on not mid positions, for starters...
If you find one, you'll know how much more they will cost...
