You can add something about CC for top league winners.

Hi!

Does somebody knows the "expected result" for every level of Supporters Expectations?

F.E.: In Supporters think the opponent is better, but with a little luck you could spring a surprise, is it expected to lose by 2 goals difference.? (Just an example)

Supporters expectations

1. Totally outclassed here. Even your stars will be happy to get an opponent players autograph.
2. Your supporters hope the team won`t bring them too much shame in this match.
3. Supporters think the opponent is better, but with a little luck you could spring a surprise.
4. This match is expected by supporters to be a tough and even game, with slight advantage to opponent team.
5. This match is expected to be a tough and even game by your supporters.
6. This match is expected by supporters to be a tough and even game, with slight advantage to your team.
7. Rival is respectable by your supporters, but they expect a win.
8. Your supporters are sure of an easy win in this match.
9. Supporters come to eat popcorn, relax and watch a festival of goals from your team.

Thanks in Advance

Completely depends on your fan size vs the opponents fan size. Don’t think there’s a flat goal difference expected for each level, it just depends on the size gap between fan bases. I also doubt it’s a tick box check (eg it’s not a binary passed or failed) as the more you win by or lose by the bigger the effect as well. You could possibly work out the min/max for most supporter expectation levels but then that’s just a guide and doesn’t give you precisely what you specifically need to just barely match expectations of a particular supporter expectation level.

I'm here to formally apologize to anyone who was having fan support issues I couldn't understand before.

I'm 14 and 3 now, and my fan base is now 'just satisfied' despite me overachieving in major leagues this season (14 and 3, with maybe the 7th best team at most?).
I've been in second place for a good chunk of the season too, but because of this bizarrely broad "top half of table" hope from my fan base - which almost half my league has as well, btw - they simply aren't as happy as they should be.

Oh, and this reputation comparison thing that's based solely on fan base is dumb. Should be closer to average team starting XI value or salary. I'm continually overachieving in league season after season, and now when I lose a game or two to a "lesser" team with a similar or better team score than I have, my fans immediately get salty.

Fan base was an ok measure in concept before they threw the new system on top. What hurt it was that fan base also determined sponsorship and gate revenue. Generally teams with far greater fans will have been around longer and should have a better team given how fans work.

The new system for expectations smashes that though by having a lot of teams in crap mood at once, whereas before it was probably closer to 50/50 with the teams with less fans the ones losing supporter mood but still gaining fans due to how far behind they were. Now it’s just everyone suffers

This. This is what's harming me, as stadium income is my primary source of regular income, because I'm supposedly playing this game as designed - to win, not to play financial sim

I promise a discussion on the subject of fans and their expectations once the new season starts. Then, when the new expectations have already been calculated according to the new algorithm.

Thanks for the response. I really do think this concept is good.
For example, the whole modifying focus of happiness from last season to current season is brilliant, and something I wouldn't have thought of.

Hopefully additional incremental improvement will help!

The new season expectations seem to have arrived. And from my point of view, nothing (or very, very little) has changed. Wasn't a new algorithm supposed to be applied, or did I misunderstand this and the new algorithm is only supposed to affect the level of satisfaction/mood throughout the season?
2024-09-15 13:18:35
The new aplgorithm was applied and current calculations are made with new one.
2024-09-15 13:32:49
Can you please recap how the new algorithm differs from the old one?
2024-09-15 13:36:28
The main problem was with the money factor - there was an error that caused some problems - the calculations were strange. The error has been fixed.
Another change was to reduce the money impact and it was significantly reduced.

I think you still need to tweak the algorithm a bit, since it seems that people have found a way to circumvent it, so to speak.

At least to me, it makes absolutely no sense that a team that has become champions 4 of the 5 last seasons consistently keeps having only "top half of the table"-expectations season after season after season... You're basically making it easier for them to stay at the very top.

For sure I will keep looking on the system and how it works. That's why I'm also here on the forum.
Noone said that system is already perfect and won't be calibrated in the future.

If you want some data:

Athlone have won the league 3 years in a row. I finished 4th. They also have double my squad value and have average individual marks 10 points + for the last season vs me (50ish vs 60-65 average).

The only answer here is the club balance, which it would seem is definitely not fixed in the algorithm. Sorry.
