Subject: Fans expectations
You do realize that by taking money out of the game, they are actually trying to accomplish this.
Maybe you can explain yourself. Because all this changes, that take X amount of money to everybody affects more in scale to teams without money than richer teams.

Not true, in fact it's exactly the opposite.
The more money there is in the market / among clubs, the higher the prices.
The higher the prices, the more money new users can earn on training.
Almost all in game costs are fixed - coach wages, youth school places, player wages, stadium improvements etc. - these are all fixed fixed prices that are not influenced by market money.
So the more money there is on the market, the easier it is for new users to afford stadium / coach / player / youth school improvements and the less they are limited by ticket / sponsor money.
You cut the money from users, you lower the prices, you lower the possible income from training & selling and in the end you slow down / limit the possibility to improve for new users, especially in smaller countries.
100%, communism makes everybody poorer.

I honestly thing that this economy changes are going to make the game even less popular.. I desire the opposite

In my view, it doesn't, because from a raw volume standpoint, the rich teams lose more. I started this game in early 2023 too. I never have money because I've always competed. I have like 5 first gen players now in my lineup, and they aren't amazing but I compete hard anyway.
Only now can I say both my stadium and coaching staff are in a place where I no longer need to invest in them anymore. I've done the math on the stadium, more seats don't make sense. Team wise, I should only need to invest in one defender a season for the next few now, unless I find a crazy deal sometime. Maybe a backup striker next season. I should finally be able to save a little bit of money.

Hey. As my collegues in the Danish Top Tier, I'm happy that You are looking into it. Because it really is off by some distance. And still is.
We can now see the results of the change You havde made (as described, by looking at and improving 'last season factor')
But I have to say... is this not just a recipie for failure and angry fans?:
3 teams are expected to win the leauge. None of them were in top-2 last year. One has never won in like 50-60 seasons. His last 10 seasons: 5-7-6-4-7-6-5-5-7-5. Why on earth would his fans expect the title? the other, me, has a couple of old titles, but any logical, human, guess, would say: he'll be #4 again. Top half. The third one is the guy you'd guess for 3rd place.
Then last seasons top-2 were expeted to be top-half, but it has now been changed so they expect at top-3. You could call that progress, but at the same time: Now we have 5 teams in the leauge who are supposed to be top-3. If not: failure.
4 more teams than those 5 are supposed to make the top half. That's 9 teams out of 12. What I'm trying to say is: we may clearly have the wrong teams in the top spots. We still have that. That should be obvious. But Your latest fix just made it so even more teams are supposed to get to the same top positions. You moved teams from:
3 champions
3 top half
3 bottom half
2 avoid the drop
1 battle bravely
(IE: 6 in top, 6 in bottom half)
to:
3 champions (and not the champions or runners up)
2 top-3
4 top half
2 avoid
1 battle bravely
That makes no sense to me. I get that You could call it a challenge. That we are no longer in "easy" mod. But it's not really fair, is it? 9 teams all expect top half. We are going to fail.
I feel that at least it should add up. I mean: You could have some wrong teams battling for top half. But at least only have 6 of them, when there are 12 teams in the league.

I understand you. but as fan I also can understand them to finally excpect their team to be 1st or they can be totenham :P :D i see that as ,,motivation,, that he must spent money from bank to be better and make better team :D
My point here is that if the algorithm finds out that one team is placed incorrectly, it should automatically figure out that another team is also placed incorretly. And then they switch expectations. This solution where we just go from 3 expecting top-3 to 5. And 6 expecting top half to 9, that's just... unfair. At least 5 teams will fail miserably, even if they land in the exact spot in the top-12 that any odds would suggest.
i know its also been in PL in real football.. how many teams you exp to be in top4? at least 7 or 8 ( city, arsenal, liv, chelsea, man utd, newcastl, aston villa, tot.)) can easily be there.. you must be better then more teams now to archive the expe...
I suggest, if possible, that the algorithm also takes into account if you've already had a season of total failure. I don't know if that makes sense. Not like you couldn't fail miserably several years in a row, but if it said championship and you're like 0% and everybody hates You, maybe thats a sign it should be a little lower next time? While the guy who clearly overperformed gets higher expectations. And if that turned out to be a fluke and he can't do it again, they only hate him that 1 year until they lower it again.
To be perfectly honest, I think this would work better if it was way simpler and just looked at last year. "You were #4. We expect 4 or better."

Unfortunately one of the reasons they introduced it was to:
a. limit money influx (tickets, sponsors = lower fan mood)
b. negatively influence users who stay in low leagues to train young players (by giving them top expectations due to a lot of money on account)
Basically all they do in last years is trying to limit users, impact them negatively or force them to play the way they want users to play
Unfortunately they only use stick and never use a carrot, while also not adding anything FUN or interesting to the game. Hopeless.

And on my example - I was happy to play between 3rd and 4th league, tried to have a competitive team (without spending much) and I mixed competing for top half of table with training 16-18yo players, while trying to go far in national cup. Not easy, but it was kind of a challenge.
Unfortunately the changes completely f... up my fan mood - it's 0-30/100 all time because fans would expect me to win every league in Poland even though I have a rating 50-60, but I also have money. I was losing supporters every week between 8 and 12 even when I was winning x games in a row etc.
So... it turns out it's no longer financially good for me to play actively at 3rd/4th level and it's better not to give a damn, stop any investments in 1st team and just go down to 5th league and train there without any fuss or challenge. Kind of exactly the opposite of what they were trying to do :-)

On the other hand, it is important that cash account is also part of the equation for calculating fan expectations. If it was only fan club and team value, I would just sell all my high value players at the end of the season and with this reduce expectation. At beginning of the season I'd then buy again high value players and easily overachieve.

The same way you can buy high value players at the end of the season and with this reduce expectation. At beginning of the season I'd then sell again high value players and easily overachieve.

As players values AND cash account matters, buy/selling or selling/buying won't change the calculation of fan expectation dramatically. It is left pocket, right pocket.
