Subject: Fans expectations

I fully agree that the specific situation in the Danish league with the problems that you have described needs smaller adjustments.

But in a broader sense, the system itself is ok to balance between league levels and new/old managers, and make farming at least a bit less attractive.

Balancing means accelleratibg progress for new users while less successfull old managers are slowed down (or financially penalized).
Otherwise there won't be any chance to catch up on the long run.

It's wrong both ways, You have the double champion and CC-participant aiming for top-3. That is not penalising him. Even now that he's actually underperfoming (no offence, Adaca!) - Because he IS numeber 3. Me, on the other hand, clearly #4 in the league if you had a fair assessment, I'm now tied for first place. Things are ligthing up a bit. They are now 18% satisfied with fulfilment and just "below expectations". But still.

I do really agree that the idea is good. I just don't understand how Adaca can dodge being title favorite in any system. And why Momitoz is expected to win. And as such: no, it is not working at all. To quote: it may accelerat progress for new users, that's good. But only if they are lucky enough to get the "correct" expectation. Or one that is worse, by chance.

I have lost 2 games this year + the cup final. In the top tier of a nation. Losing fans, 18% happy. I can't even begin to imagine what Momitoz' fans are saying at 8th place. Clearly, they should be "meh, it's just a little worse than the last many years. We'll climb up to top-6 again. But: their crazy fans want the title. It's a BUG!

Fanclub members graph has been looking like a black piste for several seasons now. Which, incidentally, affects not just me but the match attendance and sponsorship money of all the teams in the league. But I guess the system is ok ;o)

Sounds like what’s happening in Australian top league too. Very similar story.

Let’s get one thing straight though. Any argument around fairness or this is a good or reasonable system need to seriously consider that the whole system was brought in to drain money. That was the first priority regardless of what else has been said. That’s what they wanted, it has achieved that goal and so as a result all we are going to get now may be minor tweaks here and there. It’s not going to be replaced by something better as it was never aimed to be better than what we had.

The second goal which was less than the first was the goal they are happy to talk about. That being trying to get teams to be competitive or else punishing them in some way financially. They really failed in this aspect as it punishes those trying to win more than those who already didn’t care and more focussed around training. I don’t think any adjustment beside a total scrapping of this system can make this any better.

The downside for me is I can’t really do what others have and relegate to a lower league to minimise the damage as my country doesn’t have the users to be able to do that.

I just have to sit and cop the financial hits and hope something changes. There is absolutely no metric by which I should have the expectations I do. The only possibility is I have more money then others in my league but that money is peanuts compared to other teams in other leagues who won’t be expected to win their league.

This penalises any long term planning because it’s about instant spend all money to be competitive now so as earn more money. That way you burn through money and never are able to develop a high end game team because you’re forced to burn it on 30+ players to win your league and if everyone else does it too even that doesn’t save you.

I pointed it out to some admins at the time that the clubs bank balance difference was overriding every other metric after a certain cash amount for expectations. It was said to be tweaked a bit but it's still the main driver as far as I can tell.

I wonder if the new system does have an impact on draining the money. Did anyone inside Sokker do an analysis or is it too early still?

Looks like i need to win every game to have 90%+ satisfaction..

Btw a team from my league has all losses and this round he got better income from tickets than me and his fan's expectations were top half of table while my are podium :D
I got 260k this week, so i am pretty much washed lol

you already have 100% satisfaction with recent matches, now you need 2nd place in your league to improve your fan mood
2024-11-11 10:26:54
Non sense imo... I don't know how a team with higher expectations but is below my position can have a 50k+ attendance with a weaker opponent. I had under 19k attendance. I had the same average income from tickets three seasons ago in 2nd division. That describes all of this non sense...
2024-11-11 10:40:26
Does that theoretically mean that a team which has championship expectations can't have 100% satisfaction?
2024-11-11 10:46:57
yes, if 1st place isn't great success, 100% isn't possible.
2024-11-11 10:48:33
maybe integration of cup and IC will change that, but in general Devs don't seem to think hat 100% should be in reach for everybody.
2024-11-11 10:58:29
I don't care too much about that percentage, but it seems that it makes too big difference in income which makes teams unable to compete. The first team in our league has double income than me (3rd). But that's not the problem, the problem is that teams below me have 200-300k bigger income. How am I supposed to compete with them? That's all I want to know.
2024-11-11 11:34:04
It is possible, but not easy to achieve because it probably also depends on opponents achievements/standings. Not exactly sure how it works but I think that if fans of 2 teams expect championship from their teams and one of them is 1st and the other one is 12th then the first team probably won't have great success because e.g. everyone has beaten that last team so it wasn't as hard as expected at the start of season.
