I feel like you have at least 3-5 there that I’d probably be keeping if I had them in my youth school pending how they were tracking talent wise. No wonder you get nothing if your expectations are so high you sack any possible decent ones. Sure none of those will be divine pulls but most of the time you don’t want that high anyway, you just want young ones solid-outstanding in level anyway.

You can feel whatever you like. I know their talent at release, that's why they got sacked.

I keep 11 players, the best 11 that exist, in my school at one time.

Fail to see that those are all bad talents unless they’ve been in your school for a dozen or so weeks already and haven’t moved levels.

Anyway it’s your school and you have more info on them than I do but I still think you have a pretty high standard if you’re only keeping them because you have nothing better. Bad talents that have good skill distribution and young age still sell on the transfer market.

Hope that was sarcastic and not serious. How to destroy any game in 5seconds if that was the case. New teams wouldn’t even be able to train them properly anyway.

The junior system is intentional in its design but it doesn’t result in equal distribution across teams (it does have equal opportunity though to my understanding). I personally don’t see it requiring too much work. Things like revealing skills over time or better talent tracking for a cost potentially. Rest is an important part I think of the game and people just have to accept not everyone is going to have 10 trainees all 16 with perfect distribution and max talent.

Oh fixing older players somehow so be possible to be worthwhile keeping would be nice too.

Cometer, I know what talent looks like. I know how to read the charts.

If you're saying I should keep everyone, the ones that will leave my school at 19-20 and at talent levels outstanding or below (assuming 3.5 talent) then you are nuts. I don't accept players who are 18 and start at average and 14 weeks just in case they might be 3.5 talent and could out very good. No one is going to pay for that guy regardless. I get nothing but trash, week in, week out since founding it in season 68.

I don’t think I was suggesting you didn’t know talent calculations. Fair enough culling 18yo coming out as 20yo, that seems reasonable. I don’t cull them if they have talent and coming out 19 though, I’ve seen some decent ones turn out quite useful. Depends what stage of the season they come out too. Again individual preferences

Idling with low level coach?

What do you mean, exactly?

I agree that early 19 is acceptable. Once you get to around week 5 or 6 that ends.
