Hello, is this idea coming into fruition soon? where do you vote?
If it just gives extra skills then the best possible way would be to use it on 16yo and increase the MID skills
You can just sell such 16 as soon as he comes out, people pay crazy money for top 16s and then their buyers check the talent so it’s not an issue here
Also it would create hundreds more top players every season (assuming there’s 2000 youth schools active /5 seasons to accrue = + ~400 more top youths every season
I had a similar proposal that would give you x% chance for a top youth every week (16yo, 3.1-3.5 talent) and that chance would increase every week you would not get a top youth
Problem is:
- increase of top youths like in your example
- some would get the top youth at beginning of season and some at the end so that would make a huge difference, unless you can „turn off” the chance to get this star youth in next youth draw

It could be countered by different boost at different age
For example +3 skills for 16s, +6 for 17s etc.
But that would start making this idea complicated so less possible to be accepted by the owners

On a fundamental level, this is a good idea to build on. Something to better normalize youth school rewards. Hypothetically, this wouldn't necessarily increase the number of talented players much, just level it off so the same teams stop getting a talented kid seemingly every season or so.

it's a bad idea to blame the academy and juniors for a problem that only concerns player training system. Otherwise, we'll continue to have a totally pointless junior school system, when the only goal will be to wait for a winning lottery ticket, whatever any "reforms".
inevitably, because of the linear training system, to avoid having too many top players we're going to distribute 95% of unsellable juniors: either they suck at training in club (with no added value) or they're very good and rare, there's no middle ground.
The result will always be the same: a totally boring academy. There's no point in keeping 95% of rotten juniors, nor in watching pathetic junior matches.
Nothing can be solved without a training reform: stopping the predictable linear progression, allow more general progression, less skill specialization, maybe a D.N.A (each skill each talent) or whatever... but the result should be more multi decent skills players, rare multiple divine.
