Well, since i played sokker (a lot of time ago and now a couple of years) i allways find the training system far far from a realistic one and with "sokker quirks". I resume my views.
Physical skills:
- Speed: This is perhaps the most wrong concept. The youngest the player, the SLOWER he is until "old" ages (28 years or so). And is overpowered. A 0 skill means a player that cannot nearly walk (seriously?)
Proposal: This skill should be transferred to engine from a 0 to 18 to a 10-14 (to make difference, but not actual ones), like Real Speed= speed*0.25+10
Training: I think this skill should start high for youngs (11-16) and then trained normally. (combined with scalation to engine, remember, but without scalation should work well too and far better than now). Not training it, should go down slowly (not maintained). 1 training per season should cancel the speed drop by lack of manteinance. Penalties for age are cumulatives, so slow players will be the older and the bad trained.
Speed should not need a match to be trained (like Stamina)
- Stamina: Similar to speed, the youngers should start with high stamina, and the olders with slower one.
Proposal: Playing a non-friendly match should lower current stamina (more as more matches, more as more age). Players should recover stamina if only playing friendlies or no playing (recover more if younger). Stamina should range from 0 to 17 (it could be scaled to engine from 0 to 10).
Training: Stamina could be recovered by trainings like now. Really as older players age, their stamina training should be more frecuent.
Mental skills:
- Playmaking: this stat should never be dropped by age. It means the know-how to play the game (seeing good options allways).
- Proposal: training as usual and no age drop
Skills:
- Keeper, defence (tackling), technique, striking and passing left as now. Perhaps passing less influenced by age than now.
