Tonight or tomorrow night -we're not very sure yet :-S- Ísland U21 will play their second match of the season against Bolivia.
This is the flag of Bolivia. Bolivia is a country in South-America. It is about 1M m² big, that's 10 times the size of Ísland. There are living 9M inhabitants (30 times as much as Ísland). 50% of those people are indians(or native Bolivians), one of these is the president Evo Morales.
Bolivia is funded in 1825 and is named after Simon Bolivar who kicked the Spanish people out of Bolivia. But they still speak Spanish over there. The capital of Bolivia is Sucre (not named after Fernando Sucre from prison Break), but you can find the government in La Paz.
There are also a lot of nice girls in Bolivia. Or here, or here.
We will play with the following 11:
1 Thomas Bjartmannsson GK
2 Freyr Friðbjörnsson DEF
3 Gústaf Alfreðsson DEF
4 Steingrímur Frostason DEF
5 Ólafur Örn Bergsteinnsson DEF
6 Christopher Valdimarsson MID
7 Sigursteinn Aðalbjörnsson MID
8 Nonni Jóhannson MID
11 Sigurður Ingi Bjarkason MID
9 Gauti Randversson ATT
10 Harðar Svanlaugsson ATT
These are the substitutes:
12 Knútur Þorbergsson GK
13 Valtýr Þorsteinnsson DEF
14 Brynjar Þór Torfason MID
15 Unnar Nikulásson MID
16 Þráinn Guðjónsson ATT
Some of them will get their chance too
We will try to win this first match, but we can't make us any illusions. They have very strong strikers and I think they have a better team than we do. Pity too, we don't know their tactics, because they have a new U21-coach too. Hopefully we will get a good result. Anyway, me and my assistants have worked very hard this week to get the database up to date and hopefully this will have it's impact on the result of tonight's (or tomorrow night's) game
Áfram Ísland!!

It was a close match it could have gone either way nothing much else to say about it except we could have had better luck.
I played with a low defense already... If you play too low the strikers get their chances on distance shots and I guess their striker lvl will be rather good too...
I think (in the 35 minutes I've seen this morning), there were 2 big flaws: offensively or strikers could not do any harm in a direct confrontation with their defenders...Why is this? Because we don't have any pace/technique-strikers, mostly striker-strikers (I mean a striker with incredible striker and solid/very good pace/tech). How can we solve this? We can put our strikers a little bit lower, in which case they have some space to control the ball and to shoot from distance...The second problem offensively were some of the throw-ins. I was just trying something out there, I thought there would be more space for the attacker... Another thing (wasn't that bad, but could've been better) the winger should play a little more to the centre, in which way he could play further after a tackle (in this case, the Bolivian player tackled, the ball went out and then there was a bad throw-in..)
Defensively, I should've put my wingdefs a little wider to catch their side mids... I tried to play with wide defmids to avoid this, but it didn't work very well because they played a little wider then I thought.
All by all, I'm quiet disappointed with the result, me and my assistants worked hard this week and we didn't get awarded for that :-(. The tactic wasn't 100%, but they had a new coach too, so it was hard for us to know which tactic would be played with, normally in 2-3 weeks this should go better(yhey had a higher rating anyway :-S). Hopefully our players keep improving and the tactics to, so I would say...don't shoot me :-(

I doubt anyone is planning that. :)
This wasn't a bad game we could have had more luck and Bolivia less but you seem to be learning a lot from this match and that is a really good thing. Keep it up and we will surely win matches soon.

after seeing the match completely, i'm quiet pleased with the tactic... My comment abou the winger remains true, but Bjarkason (and Adalbjornson too) managed to cause a lot of danger, but they weren't very secure with their crosses...
Our goal came out of a tactical situation, while their goals came out of individual mistakes (and that's something I can't really help :-( ), their side mids couldn't cause much more danger near the end of the match, so that's a good thing...we could've gotten more, but after all it's a friendly with no meaning and it was a good test for us, next match we will try to crush Pilipinas :-)
