Subject: NT Season 19
Friendly: Magyarország - Ísland
Hungary is tough team and we are definetely underdogs against them. Tv-studio predictions are little bit against us ;), but our lineup seems very good to me... players are in decent form - defender Sveinbjörnsson is injured, but other first team players are healthy.
Midfield lineup is very similar than in last season matches. Yngvarsson is our first choice player to score goals.
Biggest chances are happening in defence.
Bjartmansson took first goalie spot from Sigursteinsson (bad form) last season and second goalie is now Lúllarnir's Porbergsson. Iceland's future in goalkeeping is secured, because those guys are 23 and 22 years old!
Defenders Bergmannsson, Frostason and Bjartsson are now enough strong to take responsibility for our defence. In defence we have lot of speedy defenders, but most of their sideskills are too low for world class level.
Lineup may look like this:
1. Thomas Bjartmannsson
2. Even Dybdal
3. Snorri Bergmannsson
4. Gústaf Sæmundsson
5. Steingrímur Frostason
6. Patrekur Bjartsson
7. Björn Þór Edvínsson
8. Kristinn Sturlaugsson
9. Ásbjörn Haraldsson
10. Sigurður Helgi Traustason
11. Sigurvin Yngvarsson
12. Knútur Þorbergsson
13. Þórir Þráinnsson
14. Atli Már Thomasson
15. Mark Ármannsson
16. Markús Númason
I inform substitutions later...

Result: Magyarország - Ísland 0 - 1 (0 - 0)
This was only a friendly match, but still it was a great win against Hungary (ranking 13).
Opponent won avg. marks 71.2-67.9, but we were better team on the pitch => shots 5-15 for us. Yngvarsson had his chances to score couple goals more. Opponent had also couple very bad headers, but Bjartmannsson stopped those balls without fail.
This was also last NT match of the season. I wan't to thank you all who read and/or write your thoughts to this forum thread! This might be my last game as a Iceland manager, but hope that I can continue with you. Let's see how elections goes!
Stars:
*** Even Dybdal, Inter4ever DEF
Important defensive player is fit again! He can play as a defender or defensive midfielder - now played great game with no mistakes.
** Thomas Bjartmannsson, Sigur GK
Getting more and more experienced! Couple big saves.
* Björn Þór Edvínsson, Export MID
Defended well (22%) and made couple important tackles. Good passing.
