@ this moment i have 5 icelandic players,one with already proven talent on defender...probably the best 18yo defender is i can prove his talent as well

I' was looking for a challenge so i decided to train pace en try to get as many icelanders as possible. But it would be nice if you and sigur should stay coach for a long while...

The most important thing to this project is to find the young talented players of Iceland.
The next step is to ensure that the players get the training they deserve and try to avoid getting wasted by managers with bad intentions. This way we can try to build something beautiful.

Good thoughts from Charlieken and Sigur.

One thing I want to bring up also is that amount of Iceland managers need to go up (not down).

Mine and Sigur's journey with NT is up to Iceland managers... hopefully we can continue, but we'll see that after this season.

Result: Schweiz - Ísland 5-2 (2-2)

Better than our last meeting, but maybe I didn't made right choice between goalies. 3 or 4 Schweiz goals looked little bit easy. Ok, there was also good saves from Bjartmannsson.

First half went quite as planned => 3 good chances and 2 goals for us. Yngvarsson made 0-1 and Traustason 2-2.

In second half we couldn't keep ball as much I wanted. We were under pressure quite long periods and Schweiz scored winning goal in 63. minute. Last 5 minute and 2 goals - after those goals result looks bad, but in my opinion it was tight match.

Goal was fantastic! He stealed the ball and kept going for goal. Unfortunately he got injured.

Scored once. He is still our only attacker who has world class tech.

"The man in the middle". Nice assist in our first goal. All our starting lineup mids played good match (Edvínsson, Haraldsson, Sturlauggson, Traustason).

Next match is against U.A.E.

7. round match in world cup qualifications against UAE should be easy. That's why our team is (again) younger than usually. Average age is 24.3 with substitutes. There is still few young players (22 to 26) who will play later this season in friendly games.

We won 0-10 in our last meeting. Now we are going to attack little bit harder. Tactic is going to be 3-5-2. You can see starting lineup below.

I am going to use all three possible substitutes. Ólafur Þór Jóhannesson is the only one who's not going to play (without injuries).

It's interesting to see how our young strikers Yngvarsson-Randversson are playing together. After 50 minutes those guys are substituted with Alexandersson (more like playmaker) and Martinsson (clinical goalscorer in penalty area?).

Patrekur Bjartsson (26) is replaced with Ólafur Þór Jóhannesson (25). New bench warmer is Gunnleifur Haraldsson (22).

More changes: Stefán Þór Alexandersson is replacing our star striker Yngvarsson. Sigurður Ingi Eyjólfsson (23) takes bench place from Alexandersson.

Result: Ísland - U.A.E 7-0 (3-0)

Easy win with our youngsters - opponent had one shot against our 33 shots.

Our strikers didn't score as many goals I wanted.

Great passing, no mistakes.

Played defensive anchor man role very well despite his low form.

Good running and one goal. Negative issue could be that he didn't get any goal assists.

8. round match in world cup qualifications. There's only 3 players in our lineup (with subs) who played against U.A.E. week ago (Bjartmansson, Sebastiansson and Númason). Traustason and Bergmannsson would be in lineup without their injuries.

Honduras is balanced team and they have couple very dangerous players: striker Andonie (last match marks 75), attacking midfielder Kafati (67) and goalie Casco (82).

Last time our marks were quite even (Ísland-Honduras 2-0), but now we can put Björn Þór Edvínsson in starting lineup - who is very important for us.

Lineup against Honduras (might change before match starts...). And look - oldtimer Dybdal is back!!!

This time Honduras didn't have any chances to win. Our defenders Thomasson-Saemundsson let Honduras third minute goal too easily, but after that there was only one team on the pitch - Ísland!

Plan was that we take right side of the pitch on our hands. That's why both star midfielders (Haraldsson-Edvinsson) was on the same side. Sturlaugsson and Dybdal were in defensive role.

First half our passing and running was brilliant, but second half we should done better. Still it was good result imo.

15 shots and 6 goals (40% succeeded). Good effort!

** Mark Ármansson, FC Meniskuskicker ATT

8 shots and 2 goals. Made two important goals with long shots turning the game for us => 1-1 and 1-2.

* Midfield (Haraldsson, Edvinsson, Sturlaugsson, Dybdal)

Haraldsson played fine as a winger, but he didn't get any assists... Edvinsson had good passes and he defended well... Sturlaugsson and Dybdal played good defensively and their short passing looked good.

Our defensive line and goalie had a easy match. Next Eesti....
