Friendly: Bulgaria - Ísland

Bulgaria plays in group P and won their last match 0-4 against Kypros. There are 603 users in Bulgaria. So they can put very good team against us (even this is only a friendly match).

I have used our "young players" in Iceland's friendly matches. I really think this is good long term plan (training boost, exprience etc). Currently I am evaluating 22-25 yo players => soon I put here a summary concerning 22 yo players.

Player evaluations (22 years old)

There are 23 players in NT database who are 22 years old. Below you can see how many players (yearly) there are in our NT database.

22 yo => 23 players
23 yo => 25 players
24 yo => 11 players!!!
25 yo => 8 players!!!
26 yo => 16 players

So we have 23 players but I have evaluated that at least 9 players can achieve NT player status. Now Bjartmannsson (gk), Haraldsson (def) and Randversson (att) has national team spot.

Goalkeepers: only one goalie in this age group, but he is currently my number one choice in NT.

Defenders: Haraldsson is best from these three. Ásgrímsson and Rúnarsson ain't defenders yet (hope that they will be).

No senior NT matches yet, but he will play in NT friendly matches this season.

Thomas Bjartmannsson is looking for new club where he gets training (pace, goalkeeping). You can contact directly to his manager or me.

Here is sokker mail from ziba's manager:

"I want to sell him, I can not give training.If you know any user who can train him, let me know to get in touch with him, thx!"

I am currently selling some players to start training Icelandic players and find some talent.
I will train pace for some time. He is welcome, money is not a problem.

Result: Bulgaria - Ísland 3 - 1 (0 - 1)

There was big difference between first and second half. We were better in first half, but somehow we lost our game plan when Bulgaria took red card (36.min).

Númason and Yngvarsson played nicely together. Númason's break through passes were brilliant and once Yngvarsson scored. Also left mid winger Ingi Þór Aðalbjörnsson was fresh and lively in first half. Randversson's injury was a bad thing to happen...

Defence line played good game, but I am not satisfied how Eiríksson played in middle defence. Penalty kick and couple bad mistakes for him.

Right midfielder Sebastiansson was invisible and subs from our bench didn't succeeded well enough.

Our last away match in these world cup qualifications. Eesti is now seeded second best in sokker world - tough opponent!

Snorri Bergmannsson will be back in our defence after couple big injuries. Midfield star Haraldsson might be out from this match because of his slight injury.

We need all luck we can get - hopefully my tactic suits with Vilpu's tactics and we can defend opponent strikers better than last time.
