Subject: NT Season 19
Well , i never comment before matches in an opponent forum , but you wont give us some "tips" here anyway..
;-)
Nice homework , we also have Kula in mid but he has low form for about 4 season now... and our two best strikers for this match are out injured... and Brezents is only 20yr , he will be world class keeper i hope...
:-)
I wanted to say that i think what you are doing and trying to do with your young potentials is great and importent , not all managers think about the future when they come to a foreign country and what you are doing with Island small community is great for them and will help them in the future for sure.
Keep it up and hope for a good match.

Yes , we are doing it all the time as planned , mostly with local trained players , and it shows that its working , right now we have a first lineup average age of about 24yr (if they are in form and healthy..) which is realy young in seniors levels , and i belive we will see the fruits for this build up in 2-3 seasons time..
We did progress from around the ~75 place to around the ~45 place which is nice progress i think for the time that Latvija is in the game , and passed NT's that have more seasons and stronger..
btw , i never looked at our rankings as a goal to achive and we never set matches to get higher ranking , i belive that if you have a strong NT (and of course a manager that knows something) than rankings will come in time and this is how it should work..
:-)

Was a close one , you where a little better than us (with the penalty miss..) , our mids are weaker and this was a bad game to all of them and in a bad timing against your strong ones..

Result: Ísland - Latvija 1-1 (1-1)
Like Sharoni123 said - game was close one, but still we were hunting victory and didn't get it. That's why I am not happy with draw.
I knew from first match that opponent manager will use quite defensive tactics. That's why we played defensive game also - maybe little bit too defensive? Both teams were looking opponents mistakes...
We won shots 7-4. Yngvarsson missed penalty. We had also couple good headers and breakthrough ball.
Stars:
*** Ásbjörn Haraldsson, S.S.Lazio Roma
One assist. Few good runs from left side and passes into opponents penalty area.
** Gustav Sveinbjörnsson, ADRIANO
Our wingbacks had quite offensive game. Leontiev got little space in first half but Gustav kept him quiet after that. No mistakes, good game.
* Björn Þór Edvínsson, Export
Reliable effort but not superb... good tackles when steeling balls. Offensively not good enough from our star player.

Next Ísland meets Jamaica in friendly match.
I try to choose lineup between 22-25 year old players (maybe few older).
So please update players for me! ;)

Íslands user amount has dropped 18 => 13. Hope that there is coming new users!
Sadly, I think it will be difficult to rise it. I like this game a lot but it take a long time to really find out the fun in the start because he is really different from most games, which is good too to have diffrent game.
We will play friendly match against Jamaica with very young team.
Qualification and relegation matches in each leagues are question marks for me => should player play in NT friendly if he has most important match day after that? I have decided to drop those players from lineup => but you can send me a message or put here a post if you still want your player to play in NT friendly (be quick! ;).

thats a good line up for me, i need my 2 islands stars this week to go to 1 ste klasse :p
Selection criteria this time:
-> No players who has qualification or relegation match on sunday
-> Player evaluations => 22-23 year olds (after that 24-26 yo)
-> Skills & form (counts like allways...)
This is the lineup after removing players who has qualification or relegation match on sunday.
1. Thomas Bjartmannsson GK (22 yo)
2. Snorri Ársællson MID (26)
3. Ólafur Þór Jóhannesson DEF (25)
4. Sigurður Ingi Bjarkason MID (23)
5. Gústaf Sæmundsson DEF (26)
6. Christopher Valdimarsson MID (23)
7. Snorri Bergmannsson DEF (24)
8. Andreas Eiríksson DEF (25)
9. Markús Númason MID (25)
10. Gauti Randversson ATT (22)
11. Sigurður Ingi Eyjólfsson ATT (23)
12. Veigar Sigursteinnsson GK (29)
13. Hrafnkell Guðfinnsson DEF (23)
14. Atli Freyr Eiðsson MID (25)
15. Högni Hannesson MID (23)
16. Harðar Svanlaugsson ATT (22)
We are going to play 4-4-2 (attacking style). Jamaica avg marks are around 45-50. It will be quite close match with this lineup, but I think we will win this one.
In the middle Númason uses his playmaking & passing skills. Ársællson and Valdimarsson (poor form...) uses their winger skills and I hope they support Randversson-Eyjólfsson well enough. Nice to see how Bjarkason manages his role behind our strikers.
I am going to use all three substitutions.
