Subject: Holiday in Iceland

This summer I am planning to visit Iceland.
Below the planning. I have the opportunity to stay 3 days longer.

Can somebody give me advice where I can spend 3 extra days :)
In HÚSAVIK we plan a whale spotting trip
Also planning a skidoo trip on the Vatnajökull (somewhere round 4)

Is there a place we have to visit? All tips are welcome.

Day 2: REYKJAVÍK – THINGVELLIR – FLÚDIR
Day 3: FLÚDIR – KIRKJUBÆJARKLAUSTUR
Day 4: KIRKJUBÆJARKLAUSTUR – HÖFN
Day 5: DJÚPIVOGUR – EGILSSTADIR
Day 6: DETTIFOSS – HÚSAVIK – MÝVATN
Day 7: MÝVATN – AKUREYRI
Day 8: AKUREYRI – LAUGARBAKKI
Day 9: HÓLMAVÍK – ÍSAFJÖRDUR
Day 10: ÍSAFJÖRDUR AND AREA
Day 11: ÍSAFJÖRDUR – TINGEYRI – FLÓKALUNDUR
Day 12: BREIDAFJÖRDUR – STYKKISHÓLMUR
Day 13: BORGARNES – REYKJAVIK
Day 14: REYKJAVÍK – BRUSSELs

Blue lagoon is obviously missing!

Can look at it tonight if you want me to do.

Yes, it is missing. Some friends told us that is is possible to do something like the blue lagoon in almost every village for less money.

Would be nice to know where we can spent the 3 days. Where can we stay a day longer and what can we do there?

A list of thing to see would also be nice.

But Blue lagoon is uniqe in the world! We have great swimming pools in almost all village with hot water but I can´t stress enough to look at Blue lagoon! You can for example end the trip there on the way to the airport.

If we have enough time, that is an option.

Another question: what is the best way to travel between the airport and REYKJAVÍK?

With bus, airport but. Taxi cost to much and i´ts take 45 minutes plus and minus!

If you like horses I would recommend horse riding too, many of them are in beautiful landscape.

But the trips are well organisered but with huge driving! In Stykkisholmur would be good idea to take the Sightseeing ship.

Back from Iceland.
It was a fantastic holiday. Only the weather was not always good, but didn't bother me.

Will go back some day :)

Hello my friends! A couple of my friends and me were talking this morning how it would be awesome to go to Iceland for the game Iceland - Croatia. We are all Croatians living in Canada, so it's not that far for us. My question to you would be how hard would it be to get tickets for this game, because I think the interest will be huge right? If we do end up going what hotel would you recommend in Reykjavik?? And what bars :P

It will be sold out in 15 minutes! Croatia unfortunately have right on 1000 tickets so it will be the only chance for you.

Yeah I know. Why don't you guys have a bigger stadium??
Anyways we don't think we will be going since the tickets are like 1100 +

We figures since Iceland is halfway to Europe it would be half price for the flight, but that is not the case at all :((
