ok I have finished update of U21 database. By what I see I can say that current 21yr generation is really strong and next season we will be considerably weaker. There are some nice 18yr and 19yr players, and hopefully jonas and Noteboom will pull some more promising, so Island will be strong again in 2 seasons.

Ísland U21 - Kypros U21 1:2

1st game was close defeat to Kypros with very unfortunate injury of S. Sigmarsson. The game was pretty equal, on shots Kypros won 11-9, but we were better at ball possession. Unfortunately Stavros Sizopoulos who seems to have extremely high pace and quite low striking was really efective and scored 2 goals (his first goals for U21 in 21 matches so far) from 4 shots from position of attacking midfielder.

Ísland U21 - Panama U21

I have seen few flaws in tactics last game and I have finally all database completed, so I can play with stronger team now. I expect equal match because Panama has just slightly better team than we do. They have some crazy strong players like Byron Ponce (only 18yrs!!) or Raúl Noriega (which is luckily in bad form).

I would like to write few more words.

With the jonas GK we are waiting for, i think that gk position is secured.

We have pulled 2 really great 18yr ATTs, together with 19yr Vignirsson our strikers should be pretty powerful.

I believe that we will also have no big problems with MIDs as both Noteboom and jonas are training them.

I am afraid that the weakest spot will be defenders and we should find reliable def trainers able to buy icelandic players and train them well. We need just 2keepers, 3-4 strikers, 5-8mids, but 7-10 defenders. And we currently do have only 4-5defs and they are all quite weak

Ísland U21 - Panamá U21 2:0

My first victory with Ísland U21 team. For this game I have made a completely new tactics and it really worked out well. I am happy with performance of all our players and we had much more big chances than Panama, so victory is well deserved. Man of the match was Hreiðar Vignirsson, who scored 2 goals. He was unfortunately injured in 83th minute, but he should be fine for wednesday match, so he should not lose training

I am sorry for no report for match vs Denmark. I was unhappy with the severe result and also with the fact that Denmark coach asked me before arranged U21 vs U20 match if he can play 3 u21 players, only to play with 21yr striker with value 1M euro who scored 4 goals. I will not do the same mistake again.
