Undoubtedly the underdog in the A-League this season Chelsea picked up their first precious point against Tribe in an encouraging opening to the season.
Despite dominating the early exchanges the Blues gave up an early penalty in the 13th minute and Croxall deft shot was brilliantly stopped by Polivka.
Tribe came home stronger in the first half and the teams went to the break deadlocked at 0-0. This was shortlived however as a strike on 51mins from Hirons put Tribe ahead.
In the 76th minute thie equaliser from prolific goalscorer Gmoch was well deserved despite the offside pleas from the visiting Tribe fans.
Chelsea management are said to be pleased with the result. The Manager stated that walking out of any match in the A-League with a point this season is a solid result.
